There’s nothing to threaten the KHL/the Russian Hockey Federation with. They’ve been banned & probably will continue to be from international play for the foreseeable future so nothing really to lose from their end.

IDK about that. Their claim to be a hockey hot spot has no support if they can’t defeat foreign clubs. Additionally it has to bother the Russian players if they can’t make top grade money or enhance their reputations.
