Lewis reminds me of Maltby and I'd hate to see him go. Shore has done nothing to impress or disappoint me.

surprised by the Lewis hate, for what hes paid hes an incredibly useful player and Sutter loves him (deservedly so). not a lot of guys that can play either wing and center and kill penalties

I don't think people realize how good Lewis is at forechecking and cycling the puck while wearing the opposing team down. None of our bottom 6 is remotely close to his level.

When people talk about the Kings identity - being heavy, hard to play against, etc, it's guys like Lewis that are responsible for that identity.

I wish Lewis had the edge that Maltby had. I always viewed Lewis more like a Draper, fast guy with no hands who could fill many roles but would excel as a bottom six forward who can play valuable minutes on the PK.

Maltby was a pest and the closest the Kings have to a player like him is Clifford.

if we're making moves, id much rather have Buff over Phaneuf. Trade for Byfuglien, resign him over Lucic next season since we have way more winger depth.

I agree. Kings can look as ugly as they want, but if they continue to win 8 out of every 12 games from here on out I will be happy as could be.

I guarantee the moment Lewis is gone, he's missed. I get what Whiskey is saying about his utilization though.

Sure we will miss him, but man , I can't think of another King since Craig Johnson who has had more icetime and high quality chances, yet failed so miserably to convert them. He had 3 more great chances vs the Blues.

Wow must be some sorta full moon craziness going on. Lewis stops a lot of goals from going in Probably one of our best defensive forward loved by management. Can't wait to see heads explode when he re-signs for 5 years 12 million

Gaborik -- can stay or go, but most likely will stay because of contract.

Martinez -- should stay unless money problems happen with the Kopitar contract.

King -- should be gone easy.

Greene -- should be gone but will stay do to management love.

Big buff is out of the price range.

Lucic is going to want to much money and will get it from Vancouver.

The Kings need to look to trade for a top4 RHD and a #3 Center. The Kings can pick up a top6 winger or 2 in the offseason (Perron, BOEDKER, Grabner, OKPOSO, Tikhonov).

Maybe trade King for a #3 Center. Other assets (Weal, Zykov/Kempe/Forbort, picks) for a top4 RHD.

We need Lewis on this team. He actually has the intangibles that people always say Greene, Brown, and Richards have. He makes a difference in a situations except scoring.

The problem with the Kings line is that it consistently has someone who is supposed to be a 1st or 2nd liner who is struggling on that line.

Kings have a logjam at LW. Brown, Lucic, Pearson, Clifford, King and Mersch in waiting.

Is it out of the realm of possibility that we trade Lucic closer to the TDL for D help while promoting Mersch? Im sure it would be considered an off the wall type of move...

5% chance this happens I know. but with him likely to walk for nothing in the off-season, could be an option to explore if the right Top 4D was available.
