Well there is one way he may have better conditioning in in LA vs Dallas.
Cali-Mex food is lower carbs, leaner meats, more vegetables, less processed than Tex-Mex food.

The Lakers once won 3 rings in a row with Shaq being heavy. Shaq admitted to being 415 pounds when they won the 3rd one in a row. He played til he was 39.

This trade gets even funnier when the Mavs traded Knecht for MARK WILLIAMS.

Not that he's going to be the next Curry or anything, but how do you not get him if you're Dallas? Or at least a bunch more picks. Even if you don't really want him, its another asset that could be flipped for something in your now short window.

Nothing will ever convince me this wasn’t willful sabotage. Either Nico is being paid by the Lakers or the NBA or the ownership are willfully destroying the fanbase to make it easier to move the team somewhere gambling is legal. There is no chance whatsoever this deal was done in good faith.

Talking to a coworker about the trade (he’s into the NBA while I’m not)…We both feel it’s suspicious - as though the Mavs want to piss off the fanbase in order for relocation to Vegas.

Not sure I buy it, if an owner really wants to move a franchise they usually find a way to do it, they don't need to piss off a fanbase first as an excuse ... but the fact that a conspiracy theory makes more sense than any basketball justification is mind blowing.

I'm trying to think of a hypothetical equivalent ... like maybe if the Bulls had traded Michael Jordan in 1988 for, say, Moses Malone? That's the level of insanity we're talking about.
