He has also said winning is the most important thing. I think the bright lights big city are what he wants.No. He has already made is clear he is going to the Habs after his contract is up. We don't need him as a rental for a year.

I only want Kane if we're also getting rid of Panarin. If Panarin is staying, I don't think Kane adds enough to the team to justify the cap space (unless we're getting him for pennies).
How NHL-ready are some of the prospects like Edstrom and Rempe? Can anyone who's seen them in Hartford chime in?
Stat-watching doesn't tell us a whole lot.
There are some free agents that might be cheap. Blueger is one guy I thought would be a good fit.
Engvall seems like he could be a Goodrow-type and maybe a bit cheaper, but I like that he carries the puck in transition.
Rempe will have a hard time becoming a regular nhl’er. Type that probably gets called up for a few nhl games to provide a physical presenceHow NHL-ready are some of the prospects like Edstrom and Rempe? Can anyone who's seen them in Hartford chime in?

Is there any reason there is noise to re-sign Kane but no noise to re-sign Tarasenko who was much better

I don’t recall the exact quote, but didn’t he essentially call the team lazy when he signed in Carolina? In hindsight, one might think he was referring to Bread. Perhaps he was sick and tired of doing literally all of the dirty work.Fast was a big blunder but I don't see why he "forgets" that and comes back here. We already jilted him once and there's no reason Carolina doesn't extend him an offer before he hits the market. I doubt he'll be a Ranger and it won't be Drury's fault.
So is Kane?Tarasenko will cost more for longer in cap space that doesn't exist. Kane might take a team friendly low deal. Tarasenko is in line for his last term pay day.
Thoughts on trading for Dubois?
While pld played with panarin, pretty sure that’s not an appease panarin move.No I’d rather stop trying to appease Panarin and would rather focus on moving him out.
Kane was injured the whole year and is 35. He may have to take a 1 year "Show me you're healthy" kind of deal. At least that's the most I would give him.So is Kane?
You say no by coming to the conclusion he's 35 years old, has a bad hip and only had 1 good stretch the whole season (the last couple weeks before the trade deadline) and that he is not what this team needed. Make a trade that makes the team better for the playoffs; not star chasing, which has gotten this team in trouble for about the last 100 years. It rarely, if ever, works. I don't care if Kane only wanted to play for the Rangers (or maybe 1 or 2 other teams); whether this was Dolan screaming for Kane or Drury chasing him on his own, it was bad roster construction.I don’t see the Rangers Dmen as an issue it’s more getting some bangers as mentioned but can you blame Drury ?
After Tarasenko I’m sure the plan was getting a Barbashev depth guy but Kane forced his way and how can you say no?
we will see about that
I’m not betting on it until Jesse Pinkman tells me the oddsLeschyshyn will have a bounce back year and everything’s gonna be alright, you’ll all see
Guarantee some here have more will and guts based on what they've done for our country.I love the idea of people posting on this forum in their underwear on their couch saying “does Panarin have the will to win and if traded, would even want to go to a playoff contender?”
Just absolute nonsense from some of you lol
Blais himself wasn't really the issue. It was Gallant/the organization thinking he was a top 6 player.Bring back Sammy Blais.

Put Blais on the 4th line with Gauthier. The forecheck would be good.
But the Rangers prefer scrubs on the 4th line and in the top 6 it's bananas.
