Most talented forward group ever??? I would rather have will instead of skill in the playoffs where time and space to make plays is limited. The Rangers have too much east and west in their game. North and south wins in the playoffs. Get the puck in deep. Forecheck and go get it.

Yes, the most talented forward group the Rangers have ever had. Without question and the coach did nothing to adjust to their strengths. Instead, he kept throwing them, and his dinosaur system, out there shift after miserable shift and the team was basically non competitive in the games it lost other than the OT.

Speaking of Kane, when is he having surgery on his hip? Having too many of the same players isn’t good. Big and heavy teams are better. Big defenseman. TB template was big forwards/ gritty forwards and big D outside of their top 4 stars.

Right, but you're refuting points that I haven't made. They were the most talented forward group I've ever seen the Rangers field but, clearly, not the best for the playoffs.

I'm with you. Though, if Kane takes a Krecji type deal I sign him given our RW options and how he can produce in the playoffs. Cuylle and Othmann (who I don't think makes the team out of camp) are forwards fitting your description.

Most of all, however, this team really needs to WANT to win and put for the EFFORT to do so.

I don’t see the Rangers Dmen as an issue it’s more getting some bangers as mentioned but can you blame Drury ?

After Tarasenko I’m sure the plan was getting a Barbashev depth guy but Kane forced his way and how can you say no?

Those are two separate arguments.

A choice will have to be made with Lindgren. Ideally we get another top4 LHD. I don’t think Ghost is that for at $5M for multiple years

We need another puck mover. Personally I think we need another Lindgren type to clear the crease a bit that can skate. I hate seeing 2ed and 3rd wacks at the puck and or while Igor gets run into. Yea a puck mover will help with that. Puck movers is not the issue. It’s guys that can’t defend in the defensive zone

Fast was a big blunder but I don't see why he "forgets" that and comes back here. We already jilted him once and there's no reason Carolina doesn't extend him an offer before he hits the market. I doubt he'll be a Ranger and it won't be Drury's fault.

He may be looking for a Goodrow type of overpay. Since this will be his 'final' last big contract.

The team that misses out on signing him can have Goodrow for a mid round pick

There are enough good depth options that I wouldn’t be looking to rush in and get married to any of them. If Fast wants too much, sign Acciari. If Acciari and Fast want too much, sign Hathaway. If they all want too much, look at Blueger. Etc.

Side note, if Sullivan is let go and becomes the Rangers head coach, how much will Dumolin get? And at what term? If Drury were to move Lindgren and promote Miller to the top-pair, does Dumolin become a lower cost option for the 3rd pairing?

Kane isn’t signed. Panarin is. Panarin will give us points during the season since we have him anyway. No sense doubling down and adding Kane
