Lol no offense to you or any other bolts fans that may contribute to this thread, but I'm sure you know how this goes. You will be lowballed because you are a Tampa fan

Buffalo fans will say that he’s not for sale, but this is Buffalo we’re talking about. Honestly we should try to get Tage Thompson with how often they trade away their franchise players for nothing.

Did he come back in the game last night or is he injured? I turned it off after the touchdown.

Buffalo might want good players now but they're a bad, undesirable team that could lose him to free agency in a year. If you're not contending in that time frame, how picky can you afford to be? Unless Tuch indicates he's open to an extension, they would be foolish not to consider an offer. You can always move out picks & prospects to bolster the roster, so a future heavy package from TB would only add to their assets.

Buffalo is already the youngest team in the league, and this proposal would take away one of their few veterans. Buffalo already has a very good farm system. They do not need any more picks. They need more veteran experience.

If you want Tuch, it has to be for an established player.

Buffalo has plenty of picks & prospects they can deal between now and next fall to fill that void, and could even incorporate a 3rd team if they are insistent on not taking futures from Tampa. Sabres are poorly run and generally don't appeal to established players. Assuming this season is lost, you can't always get what you want. A valuable offer, even if it doesn't include more proven pieces, can still be worthwhile.

It really depends on whether or not Tuch would extend, because if you wait until next year's deadline he would almost certainly be traded for futures anyway. If he says "let's see if we can make a run next year and I might stick around" then by all means keep the guy.

Cirelli or Cernak. (note: not AND, it's an or).

And then go from there.

Yeah…I mean I think in a vacuum Cirelli and Tuch probably have similar value but not sure I trust Cirelli’s production to hold up in Buffalo the way Tuch’s does.

So the plus has to be significant because Tampa is the team calling on Buffalo’s guy.

I’m sure the Sabres would throw in Joker or Samuelsson for Cernak to be the plus though ;)
