Feel bad for Bonino but he's beyond washed. Many of us knew he was not gonna be a good fit.
Kinda shocked this organization had the balls to just move on from him this "early" in the year.

Does this list also include players that were in the organization and never played for the team? Feel like we probably lead the league in this as well.

Yes. It does.

For example: Darren Raddysh is included.

Jonathan Marchessault is not included for the Rangers as he was never under contract with the team. He played for the Connecticut Whale on an AHL-only contract.

I wonder if Bonino just retires if no one claims him, also gross that he changed the pairs, and Miller/Trouba stayed intact.

Yeah and you need to stop.

Anyone who complains about him going vegan and that being the impact for his play just doesn't understand nutrition.

Yes it’s harder to hit certain markers through your diet than if you were to eat meat, but that doesn't mean that it’s impossible or even THAT hard. He's a multimillion dollar athlete, the Rangers have a personal chef and a nutritionist on hand. They know what they're doing.
Well whatever it is, there is a noticeable change in his game. He’s always been a slow starter, and I’d never usually accuse him of being low energy or weak, but he does look low energy and weak.

They had to do something after this awful stretch. Cleanest break. If it gets worse before it gets better they need to waive Goodrow and live with the consequences.

Thank f***ing god

he will be missed..... by the opposing team

Kakko will stay until the offseason I think.
That makes sense. He still is, at the end of the day, a useful NHL player that we can find a role for.

Unless he was part of the package to upgrade, there's no reason to run him out of town like a Bonino or Goodrow just because he sucks that bad.

You got your way on Bonino !
The other 2 Pitlick and Brodz are next
Have no clue why people are so willing to get rid of Brodz. He's a decent 4th liner. His speed on the forecheck is a nice tool. He doesn't have to light it up but he can't be a massive negative like Goodrow or Bonino.

I'd be OK with Pitlick Brodz Vesey as a 4th line

Is Goodrow confirmed leaving? Or is that wishful thinking?

DON'T TOY WITH MY EMOTIONS!

Kreider-Zibanejad-________
Panarin-Trochek-Lafreniere
Cuylle-Chytil-Kakko
________-Goodrow-Pitlick

This leaves Vesey and Wheeler.

Vesey is in one of those spots and I'd argue that him playing with Kreider and Zibanejad is the best value and spot in general. That line needs a good skater and puck retriever and he plays well with those 2. That is also going to be Laviolette's matchup line come playoff time. We know it is.

Yeah and we have seen him work with Chytil so you hope that combo can go on a run. I suppose if there's a real upgrade and they need to free up the money it's possible but I don't see him being traded.

Can't wait to play well against Vegas and get goalied, followed by people saying "herp derp guess Bonino wasn't the problem."

If it meant clearing Goodrow's cap hit, I'd take this all day long

Well whatever it is, there is a noticeable change in his game. He’s always been a slow starter, and I’d never usually accuse him of being low energy or weak, but he does look low energy and weak.

And there can be a number of reasons for that.

Confidence, poor line combinations (which IS the primary reason IMO), effort, etc.

If you split him and Kreider and add a player who is good at creating NZ turnovers and facilitating off the rush, all of these "low energy' claims will disappear.

Kreider will be better too. FWIW he's gotten a massive pass from a ton of people here. I think hes been the bigger issue 5v5. I know Mika made his OT gaffe in the last game, but that game was also one of the worst I've seen from CK since he became an NHL regular.

Its up to the coach to actually make that change but that duo isn't helping anyone right now.

I mean... I'm going to complain if that is the case... why?

Until we get two quality lines out of the top 9... getting goalied is more of a function of our lack of depth and less about the goalie.
