I can see possibly Cuylle working therehonestly as long as a Cuylle- Chytil- Kakko line gets a chance I'm ok with it. I think we know no one will produce on the RW with Zib and CK especially Kakko.

Well if Chytil is back maybe the plan is Cuylle Chytil Kakko which i have a ton of time forlol , one step forward (Fox and Gus) and 2 steps back (Kakko demoted again, Kreider and Mika not split)
Lav sucks.
For sure it's possible but then who on LW for Chytil/Kakko line? Vesey? Goodrow (No please)? CK (the bromance will never be broken up)? Lafreniere (this board would erupt reuniting the kid line)?I can see possibly Cuylle working there
Sign me up.I like the idea of:
Kreider-Zibenejad-________
Panarin-Trochek-Lafreniere
Cuylle-Chytil-Kakko
Vesey-Goodrow-Pitlick
If that's what they like, then I can see where the deadline addition will be going. I'll just say that adding a 4LW should be the play and just promote Vesey as that Kreider-Zibanejad line does nothing at 5v5 anyways and it would be far less costly.
If the Rangers are able to trade Trouba this off-season I wouldn't mind a short-term deal for Justin Schultz. Maybe 2 years @ $3.5m
Kakko is a goner
—Arthur Kaliyev, who's shown a scoring ability in the NHL, is an interesting one to watch in L.A. The 22-year-old is having little luck gaining head coach Todd McLellan’s trust. I'm hearing there are a handful of teams interested including the Flames and the Senators, where his former junior GM with the Hamilton Bulldogs, Steve Staios, is now in charge.
—The goalie market is slow but that won’t stop the Marc-Andre Fleury trade talk. His remaining $3.5 million (U.S.) is still significant enough that the Wild are being asked to eat a good portion of his contract from the likes of Colorado and Carolina.
—The Montreal Canadiens on the other hand are having trouble convincing teams to trade for goaltender Jake Allen because of the $3.85 million owed to him next year. The Habs have no interest in eating any of that as of now.
Fine. Don't trade Kakko for 20 cents on the dollar and he finds success somewhere else. Drury would be doing Kakko a favor finding him a new home.Kakko is not going to find success here in this organization. I think its pretty much over now. He'll be 23 yo in a few weeks, and has not taken the strides.

This guy is a better fit.

I fully expect Drury to add a Top 6 forward at the deadline.
It better be a big forward and not one of these former soft and one dimensional Rangers players.
Is it a player with term or another stupid rental?
I don't see a top 6 rental making a big difference.
Bonino out for personal reasons. Hopefully contemplating retirement.
Trocheck-Chytil-Mika-Goodrow down the middle (in that order) is legitimately good.
Who do you have in mind that fits that mold. I agree I think they need it.
Yes, we're going to fit a top 6 forward with size and term under the cap.It better be a big forward and not one of these former soft and one dimensional Rangers players.

Hopefully everything is okay on his end.
Centers look fine until you realize that Mika is probably going to continue to suck with Kreider and Goodrow just flat out sucks.
What's infuriating with Mika is we know he's capable of playing a more effective game. Hate what his non contact/non wrist shot game degenerated into.Hopefully everything is okay on his end.
