Chances Rempe gets called up to replace what Reaves brought as the tough guy, maybe he is closer than some here think?
Rempe is already a TOUGH guy at 20 and he hasn't anywhere near grown into his frame yet. He's going to be as difficult as Chara with the gloves off some day, but I'd say expecting him to be NHL ready before 2024-25 (if ever, if we are being honest) is an awful high expectation.

He'd get destroyed by other veteran tough guys in the NHL. He's still a kid. I don't think he was a fighter up until recently. There is 0 need to bring him up at this point. The Rangers just traded Reaves. They dont need another "enforcer". Goodrow/Trouba handle themselves just fine. Let him develope.
He had a tilt and a half with McIlrath a week or so ago, held his own, and Dylan is CERTAINLY NHL enforcer caliber TOUGH. But yeah he IS a kid, needs at least a couple more years.

He had one season with good scoring results where he shot 26%. His possession numbers have been below average every year. xG for the most part bad. Has zero impact on any form of special teams. He was never any good. Just has the reputation from one playoff run where he was stapled to ROR/Perron and they won a Stanley cup. The typical bad player who fools people into thinking he's good because he can be noticeable (hits a lot), is a "winner", and had one year of a ridiculous sh%.
If you were looking for a guy to replace Buch's scoring at ALL, then he was never any good. If you wanted a guy who could be at top of the NHL in hit numbers, and not softies, and still pitch in here and there, then he was QUITE good... Since a lot of us weren't expecting the former... a lot of us see he was good. And can be again, possibly.

Should've been Rydahl from the start, especially given his status with waivers.

Why in God's name is this so obvious to fans but not the people in positions of power?
There are area where having fans vote would make things better sure, but it would also make a lot of other things worse.

Half the posters on here are yahoos on a good day and the other half thinks we could win the Stanley cup being managed by an algorithm

I really liked Brodzinskis speed and willingness to shoot from anywhere on the 4th line.

Not sure if Gallant was on board with the Carpenter waiving after seeing it too, if he was great, if not, good for Drury to force his hand into playing the better player by taking away one of the coaches favorite toys.

This may be a pipe dream, but I have a gut feeling that eventually we will see Goodrow slide to 3 with Kreider-Trocheck in the most expensive 3rd line in the league while Krav might slot back in with Panarin-Chytil. If not maybe Krav pops in for Vesey in 3rd line, but not sure he fits that lines vibe.

Or, if we go on a run with this, Gallant has showed a willingness to keep him scratched. Its anyones best guess, but theres no doubt aside from his pass, Goodrow was not good last night from turnovers to penalties to the infuriating fight during the 1st ozone possession of the 2nd period.

We did go on after that to finish the period stronger and score 4 unasnwered in 3rd though, so god knows whether that was a 2nd intermission talk or the fight that sparked that

No sense messing with a lineup that won to give special treatment to Krav, but he didn't overtly deserve that first scratch and I would feel bad for the kid for the first time ever if the team goes on a run now with him out when he didn't really deserve to be out in the first place. But team success over individual success so I'd rather the team go on a big win streak

Give Kravstov a prolonged shot at the 2RW. If he puts it together that's 3 lines deep that can score and a solid 4th line.

Laf - Zib - Kakko
Panarin - Chytil - Kravstov
Kreider - Trocheck - Vesey
Blais - Brodz - Goodrow
I wouldn't scratch Gauthier. I've loved the speed hes brought to the 4th line and he's finally figured out how to drive the net with brains.

So close.

Laf-Z-Kakko
Panarin-Chytil-Krav
Kreider-Tro-Vesey
Goodrow-Brod-Goat

I like Goodrow's game on the wing more than center, but I like his faceoff ability. Brod has earned a spot. He is always giving 100% and his speed and aggressiveness are great with Goat.

Trade Blais. If Krav doesnt work out, trade him for an upgrade to that line. I still like Conor Garland. More speed, more aggression, go to the net mentality.

If Goodrow slides down to line 3 in the long run, it actually opens up a realistic possibility of a Kane trade (for better or worse) with a spot for him in the lineup.

Panarin-Chytil-Kane
Kreider-Trocheck-Goodrow
Vesey-Brodz-Gauthier
Blais

I could see it with Kravtsov being a piece going the other way in a Kane trade.

Disclaimer: I'm NOT saying I want this to happen, just saying I can definitely see it - if the current lines generally stick. You alternate Goodrow/Vesey/Kravtosv in the 2RW and 3RW slots for now until the TDL.
