Can't change the lineup after a win . Turk seems to know who is going and when to get them in the game.....big win over the top team in the West as the visiting club ! Got to get him a few plugs for getting the team focused again and excellent line combos.....5-1 is very impressive . Don't you agree Jovo ?
:D LOL....could not resist . Yes...I did say to friends he would look bad if they lost but look like a genius with a win and the roster changes . Maybe Kravs was tired after the cross country flight ?

Trocheck can be moved in 3 and if we draft in the middle of the round we can be patient with a center. Take someone going to college, or needs some time to develop
Well Matvei Michkov is signed for 3 years in the KHL, so that gives us 4 years to worry about Zibanejad, Trocheck and Chytil. :sarcasm:

If Goodrow slides down to line 3 in the long run, it actually opens up a realistic possibility of a Kane trade (for better or worse) with a spot for him in the lineup.

Laf-Mika-Kakko
Panarin-Chytil-Kane
Kreider-Trocheck-Goodrow
Vesey-Brodz-Gauthier
Blais

I could see it with Kravtsov being a piece going the other way in a Kane trade.

Disclaimer: I'm NOT saying I want this to happen, just saying I can definitely see it - if the current lines generally stick. You alternate Goodrow/Vesey/Kravtosv in the 2RW and 3RW slots for now until the TDL.
I think its very clear with the Rangers waiving Carp and trading Reaves they are going to add at deadline. It will be a 3LD and a top 6RW

I would not be shocked at all to see Kane 50% to NYR for a package including a 1st, Kravtsov another pick and/or B prospect

Then a similar trade as last year to PHI for Braun maybe a 3rd round pick. Familiarity, I liked him when he was here.

Say Goodrow is slotted down to 3RW or 4C at some point and Krav comes back in as the 2/3RW, that opens up the very real possibility of

Laf-Zib-Kakko
Panarin-Chytil-Kane
Kreider-Trocheck-Vesey
Blais-Goodrow-Gauthier
Brodzinski

Lindgren-Fox
Miller-Trouba
Braun-Schneider
Hajek

I'd prefer Gauthier and Vesey swap, but so far, Vesey hasn't left the top 9 since he has entered it.

Who knows, just a possibility...

Give Kravstov a prolonged shot at the 2RW. If he puts it together that's 3 lines deep that can score and a solid 4th line.

Laf - Zib - Kakko
Panarin - Chytil - Kravstov
Kreider - Trocheck - Vesey
Blais - Brodz - Goodrow

I wouldn't scratch Gauthier at this point. He's actually putting together a solid stretch of hockey. Fourth line should be Goodrow-Brodz-Gauthier with Sammy "No goals as a Ranger but still on PP2" Blais scratched.

Seems like he loves to mess with success to me. He also often changes lines after wins & keeps lines after losses.

You see this is where those advanced stats start falling apart. I like Krav and want to see him get a chance but he’s on the same point scoring pace as Sammy Blais. Who is playing on 1.5 legs. Who I’m seeing everyone eviscerate on here. Hahaha. And Krav is not looking like Kakko out there while not scoring either. I think he works hard and I think he can contribute, I think he needs the chance to work through things. But let’s not pretend he’s been setting shit on fire and earned more time with his play/results.

I didn't watch last night's game so I can't comment on Brod but it sounds like he was good again. If I remember right last year he was good his first couple games until he petered out like most AAAA guys do.

It's possible Brod has taken a turn for the better, which would be great, but if he hasn't hopefully Gallant will realize this quick enough and make the Goodrow/VK/Brod swap we all want.

Players Kravtsov is better than....Vesey, Brodzinski, Blais and he's better than Goodrow in a top 6 role. I still believe Drury's God complex is at play again. We are gonna end up losing a nice top 9 player for either nothing or close to it.
I mean, maybe you aren’t wrong, BUT he’s not necessarily suited to the roles that Blais or Brod fill. And that matters. They aren’t keeping him out. I think Vesey would/should come out for him, even though Vesey is scoring at a higher clip than him and also reliably kills penalties. It’s not a very easy call to be honest.

eh it doesn't say that he will score points but it's saying that when he's on the ice his line does well offensively. Goodrow by contrast says the opposite, This can just mean that one guy does a better job faciliating offense with his linemates, not necessarily that he's going to produce a ton of points

But why is he better than them? Don’t give me fancy stats that are influenced by who’s on the ice with him…what has he done or shown that he’s better than those players?

Right. But it’s being used to argue he should be in the lineup, when It’s not him scoring and doesn’t seem to take anything else a player brings to the table Into account. It’s kind of meaningless as a lone indicator. That’s my point.
BTW I agree Goodrow shouldn’t be a second liner.
