That would be a coup for Colorado. Barrie alone isn't enough.

As for a top pair RHD. I don't really think he'd fetch one in the age bracket of the next core group. I'd expect more of a 2nd pair RHD that can adequately play the top pair next to McD.

Why is that and why is people trashing Brooks last tweet? Brooks was spot on on Eric Staal as late as the last deadline. Think he had Grabner. Brass/Zibs was kept quite. Think he is like 9/10 on our last moves. He had the Girardi buy out.

Get a feeling people are trashing him because they don't like the content of the info. What sense does it make to shoot the messenger? Got to be pretty annoying to have his job given the enormous amount hate loaded on any communication attempt made...

Roster freeze Saturday at 3. Teams can only deal with Vegas from then until the end of the expansion draft. Then everything is opened back up leading up to the draft.

July 1st is when Stepan's NTC kicks in, so if they're going to trade him, you'd assume it would be in the next 2 weeks.

Holden was fine this season. Anybody paired with Staal is going to look horrendous. He in large part saved that backend from being worse than it was. Had 30+ pts and has a $1.6M cap hit and some rag the guy like he is crap . Everybody wants 6 Erik Karlsson's on the backend.

Because if you read it it comes off as his opinion. At no point does he say "NYR not trading Stepan unless a top RD coming back", he says WOULD NOT MAKE DEAL. That's not a report, that's an opinion.

Pretty simple if you just read it.

Name 5 trades in the last 10 years he called with any certainty (not speculated which we all do) that other places did not have in rumors as well. Saying the Rangers may look at 5-10 free agents and including guys like Grabner or Pirri is nothing more than people on here do at times. When we have made actual trades did Brooks call them in advance of all other sources?
