Lundkvist for Krebs is a fair trade. Just as Lundkvist for Turcotte.

I know you like him and he's going to be good. It's a hockey trade to make the team better.

Yeah I get that, I just don't agree. Lundkvist has star potential that I'm not going to pass on at this early juncture.

I think Krebs is a solid, well rounded top 6 forward but also lacks star potential. You know who is a good match for that description? Schneider.

Watch him go full chaos and start following one team at a time.

He just started following a second account.

Gun to my head, I don't know who i'd choose between Krebs and Turcotte. I think Alex has the higher ceiling, but greater bust potential too.

Before he got injured Krebs was in the running for 2/3rd overall.

Yeah I still think you're over rating Lundkvist and under rating Krebs.

They are very close in value

If we had Krebs would you trade him for Lundkvist?

Agreed.

Though It's possible that a midseason trade is more likely, that is if Schneider is absolutely kicking the doors down in Hartford.

Lots of options. Love the choices we have at the blue line.
That's why I'd be content with staying the course. Let the kids play and see what's what with Gallant.

The only move I like right now, would be Dvorak.

They probably are, but the problem with Krebs is that he doesn’t have high upside. If he makes it his ceiling is around say a Derek Stepan type, Strome and RNH can be mentioned. Smart, very good positionally, skating is a bit sub-par for a top 2 line center. And that is — if — he makes it. We have seen the value of many forward high picks totally fall of a cliff when they turn pro.

I think Lundkvist is much more likely to become a good valuable NHLer than Krebs and I don’t think the upside of Krebs is worth the gamble. JMHO.

wat? we must be talking about two different players. He's a Barzal clone with an edge

Not in my book. I’ve not seen him last season, but the skating wasn’t there before his draft.

JMO, I could be wrong, but I would like to see him show signs of being able to get it done in the NHL before I would be interested in him. He is a good prospect, but it’s a tough league.

Wheeler compares him to duchene in ability as of last year.

2019 NHL Draft Profile: Peyton Krebs scouting report

All three mention his skating to be a strength

Supposedly Don La Greca is saying an Eichel trade is imminent. No idea. Didn't hear it myself, someones posting it on the main boards.

These reports can’t scout skating. All had Lias Andersson being a good skater too. Have anyone seen Oliver Wahlstrom skate? “All” scouting reports had him being a great skater.

To explain my view, Krebs is a better skater than Andersson. But in the absolute best of worlds I would compare his skating to like Datsyuk, his balance is what is good. He gets going before others and can get a step on them through that. He keeps options open because he can shift his weight so smoothly, doesn’t commit to going in on direction or another early.

But he doesn’t at all have that powerful explosive stride that like a Barzal have. He doesn’t have that really strong engine that Aho got.

I am not writing Krebs of. He could make it and even become a good top 2 line center. He is a fine prospect. But when I look at Krebs I see a player that to really make it and become like a center you can win it — he needs to be able to troll — top — NHLers and I don’t think Krebs got that, I wouldn’t want to bet on it if the stakes are very very high.
