He called in on the 1-800-Flowers hotline to drop this knowledgeDon is on vacation so unless he tweeted something that's bullshit
The post says:Don is on vacation so unless he tweeted something that's bullshit
The post says:
"FWIW...from the Michael Kay Show, Don La Grecca (on vacation) mentioned on phone call to producer that Eichel trade is imminent."
I don't know what that means, and am not going to expend the energy to find out.
Mine is "ED KRANEPOOL"![]()
The first thing that comes to mind when I hear that name^
Sorry to say this as Pelech is on a rival but that contract is superb. It takes him through his prime and defensemen generally can stay at the top of their game longer. He plays a similar game to McDonagh
The only issue with the pelech extension is he's going to be 34 at the end of it but considering the cap hit, even if he takes a heavy age related dive, its still a good deal.

I feel like the tell tale sign Ola has not watched a player with any regularity is when he specifically comments on their skating.
Guy called Sean Day a bad skater for years.
Wait, did he actually say that?
Me tooThe Pelech extension is a superb deal and I'd take him over Nurse all day long..
He doesn’t have near the offensive game that McDonagh had/has and also every Islander seems great defensively in Trotz system.Sorry to say this as Pelech is on a rival but that contract is superb. Thank you for posting one of my few takes that is looking correct a few years later@JohnC Here is the link:
How good can Sean Day become?
I got to agree with @The Crypto Guy:

There are some nuggets there.
Ola has specific preferences that he likes in skating
He likes quick and agile feet, changes in direction, fast all over the ice, quick acceleration.
Day is a smooth powerful skater who moves fluidly but isn't a "quick feet" and start and stop acceleration" kind of guy, which is the kind of player that Ola likes from what I can tell

He's 32 year old McDonagh.Correct. Nowhere near McDonagh. He is a good defenseman but he scored 14 points in 56 games last year and his highest offensive output is 21 points. If he scored more like the top Dmen he would be getting 8 mil plus.
