Well that's my point, I think Lundkvist is closer to a Sanderson or Drysdale level prospect at this point than he is to like a Broberg, Harley or Ty Smith. Lundkvist was already on par with those latter guys, except he's shot up in value since being drafted, so he's definitely above them now.

It's not a 1:1 comparison. Lundkvist will be the 3RHD and has Schneider on his heels. We have nothing at center.

Vegas wouldn't trade Krebs for structural reasons (center, capped out, ELC). Seperately, I think a Nils for Krebs trade would be there in 3 months, 6 months, or two years from now, if it were a thing. He's still a guy who doesn't really score goals and Barzal is really the only top line C I can think of who's still like that style wise.

I think he's on a Smith level, who's between Sanderson/Drysdale and the other two. Recency bias seeing Smith as a rookie get picked on at the NHL level. He'll be really good with some more physical maturity.

I didn't ask if you'd trade Lundkvist for Sanderson, I'm saying I compare Lundkvist to Sanderson in terms of being that level prospect. I get it, we have a need at center, but find me a better center to trade Lundkvist for then because I don't think Krebs is enough.

And if someone is on Lundkvist's heels then trade that person because they are going to stay there. How about Schneider for Krebs? That is more fair. Maybe slanted towards us in that instance.

Though It's possible that a midseason trade is more likely, that is if Schneider is absolutely kicking the doors down in Hartford.
