No. He wasn't.

I had to watch that dooshelmet broadcast living in North Carolina.

First, he said that he "loves" the rule because it makes defensemen think about having to make a play.

Then, Stepan scores, and he goes on a tirade about how "unfair" it can be to go down two men in a tight game because of shooting the puck over the glass. That's when he came up with his rule change idea.

Finally, he says how much he loves the rule because a Sabre (Brian Campbell?) shot the puck over the glass in the 2006 ECF Game #7 and Brind'Amour scored on the PP giving the Hurricanes the series and the eventual Stanley Cup.

Zuke continues to show me that he's just a pure stud player. He does everything so well. His play is sublime with his ability to make the right play at the right time.

He's also a guy who finishes every check and make sure he gives you a face wash if you get your stick up.

He's just a tough little ****er who's been our best player on more than a few nights.

I agree.

Also think he raises the bar and makes a lot of players out there look either incomplete or a little lazy - me thinks.

Have to say these referees can piss me off sometimes. Meant to blow the whistle--****ing horse ****. There wasn't time enough to see whether Khudovin had even made the save. Stupid **** head. The Hagelin penalty I hated as well. Should have evened it up anyway as what Skinner did was dive.

But it is always good to win.

Just can’t take it anymore. They suck the desire out of enjoying and watching a game. They called everything that we did. They overlooked so much that the Canes did. It’s getting to be on a daily basis. The phantom elbow by Boyle which along with figure skaters holding Hags stick lead to a 5 on 3. Hope Stralmans alright due to this. Nash tripped right in front of Kowel. Check out, I think it was Zuc, getting tripped in the corner at 8:07. Getting tripped right before the figure skaters breakaway. Again with Kowel watching. Richards gets slashed across the hands Again with Kowel looking right at it. No call. Everything we did got called. Believe me I’m leaving out a lot. With DVR’s and the ability to rewind, they can’t hide. Something smells.

D was pretty bad. Team found a way to win. If this were a loss it would be a backbreaker/borderline season ender. So good to see MZA back. He deserves a big fat contract.

They need to start putting pucks in nets when they dominate like they have early in games.

You play into certain teams hands by falling behind and the problem is compounded when you have been the better team by a clear margin.

Get goals early and put teams on their heels.

nice to put three past the goalie after falling behind 2-1 with less than 8 minutes left.

Also, sweet pass by MSL to Stepan.

I see some back door plays in our PP's future. MSL has got the hands to make those passes.

Borderline season ender?

Yeah, I agree. It would have been pretty bad but even with the loss we are still very much in the thick of things.

Rangers need to go on a bit of winning streak though if they don't want to be fighting for a playoff spot for the last five games.

Screw you refs!
We win!

AV said in his presser that the refs called two penalties they had to call and we scored on the 5 on 3. He was not happy with the way that game was officiated; nor should he be.

He gave up a snipe shot and PS...2 Goals...What am I missing here? The constant ragging on the best goalie in the league is asinine...Even when he lets in 3 at least 2 are deflections..

Deflections often work on Hank because he plays too deep; same reason Jordan Staal had so much to shoot at on the first goal. When you play deep you must be lightning quick and he hasn't been. Sorry but he is not the best goalie in the league and the way he is playing; maybe not top 10.

Any game where your goalie allows two or fewer is a successful game from his standpoint, whether or not he allowed a goal he shouldn't have.

Most of that game was frustrating. You knew that once they broke through, it wasn't going to be the only time. Funny how quickly the doubts on offense come back even when a team has played more than half the year as a top-10 offensive team, though. I'm sure we've all felt it since coming back from break.

I missed it the first time, AV was hilarious. "Too much screaming at the French referee". Even when he criticizes a ref he does it with humor and like an adult unlike Torts.

Yeah, the performance was pretty much on the players. Totally lack of effort. Guys standing around, not engaging or chasing down the puck.

I have hard time blaming AV because he was trying to shakeup lines and get things going. Someone needs to assert themselves in that locker room fast.

Outside of the PK shortie, Rangers got VERY lucky at the tail end of the game.

Good points; we outchanced them two to one; we had 43 shots and were buzzing most of the night. No effort; good point.

This is true.

Hank play very deep. It costs him big time.

That staal shot was filthy but with hank so deep and his classic flinch move he does, he's exposed to that shot. He doesn't play big on many nights relying on reflexes instead and lately, that's been his undoing.

This penalty shot/shoot out thing has become mental. It's worrisome.

two other goals of the recent past are nullified by alot of goalies. The Iginla goal that changed that game was a pass a foot into the crease. He needs to use his stick and poke that away and the winner against the Leafs was a pass from behind the net where a more aggressive netminder would have read that both D were behind the net and would have stopped that pass that was two inches from the post.

But since once Iginla and Bozak received the puck Hank was dead he doesn't receive any blame for those goals. He's a hockey player, not just a pitch back. He needed to be better on both of those very important recent goals. He's just tentative and not sharp and that has to change...very soon.

It's really important to have Zucc back in the line up. That's pretty plain. These guys need to get on a roll. Hopefully tonight's the start.

I thought the turning point was when Kreider started the scrum with 3-4 Canes players. Kreider hanst been the same since the tyutin hit so its good to see him being more physical. i still want to see him with St.Louis and richards
