AV has really grown on me. Hell of a coaching job tonight as far as in game management went.

He tried thats for sure. But the lines, in the end, reverted back to where they were. I think the only player permanently moved was Krieder.

I don't put any blame on AV for that game. The problem with that game was player effort.

However, AV really needs to address that first line. Nash has to get going.

Was very solid on those post-lockout teams. Father time caught up to him very quickly after he was traded away.

Huh, he's still a good player.. He was integral to that cup win last year on Chicago's third pairing.

Scared the crap out of me there, but getting the W in the end.

3 stars for me were:
- Derek Stepan
- Martin St. Louis
- Rick Nash

HM: Kevin Klein, Anton Stralman, Mats Zuccarello

I'd just like to rant real quick. Anton Stralman needs to be resigned. I know it has been mentioned before, but he's just too much of a force for us. Day in and day out logging nearly 20 minutes a night as a top 4 defenseman and even though he hasn't put up a lot of points he's all around getting the job done. He took a stinger today blocking a shot on the foot. He's been physical when need be and is very good offensively. The only lapse today was the hook for the Skinner penalty shot, but that's a penalty you have to take. He's been amazing since he signed that redemption deal and deserves another contract.

Also might I say Kreider was the only one who had a minus and had 9:45 TOI. He needs to pick it up a bit.

Uh... you named six players and not one of them was Ryan McDonagh?

I voted for Kevin Klein. He's obviously not going to get a star, but the guy was absolutely money tonight defensively. His best game as a Ranger so far

I have to agree with this. He single-handedly saved two, yes count them TWO goals from going in, which would have pretty much deflated the rest of the team.

As for the rest of the D, they looked a bit shaky. McD was $ too, but not sure what was going on with Girardi, he didn't look so good other than that awesome shot block he made during one of the canes powerplays.

Yeah.
AV doesn't really have a gif worthy face like Torts :(

He looks nice enough though, but he remind me of a big dog sleeping by the fire. Mean this in a good way actually, but we need fire and passion to energize our players and not the sleep inducing soft voice. I'm in the like, but love Torts - faults and all.

Outside of the obvious about how this is the probably the only part of sports where "oops I meant to do something" actually matters. I guess close does matter. Outside of that however, I don't get when they go to Toronto to make a call on a play and then apparently it's "intent to call". How does Toronto know when he intends to blow the whistle and shouldn't the official know when he intends to blow and call it off before going to Toronto?

THIS... we should have had that goal in the first 10 mins. absolutely would have changed the flow of the game in the favor of the rangers...

and these damn refs.... Zucc's "hooking" penalty was hardly that, the opposing player even DROPPED Zucc's stick after about 1.5-2 seconds after it got stuck...

I'm not 100% sure, but it looked like after the game, when all the players were skating to Hank, MSL and Richards skated to each other to hug.

And you were right, they actually won and did solve their goalie. Guess I owe you one, despite your luck ;)

"They're physical and we didn't get a lot of time in the offensive zone," said Penguins captain Sidney Crosby, who has yet to score in six career games against the Sharks and was minus-5 on Thursday. "We're on a four-minute power play. We can't give a goal. That's a big goal for them."

MSL is a ****ing stud.

That is all.

I appreciate what he said after the game. Guy is 10 times the mentor Callahan will ever be, especially to the much younger guys

Zuke continues to show me that he's just a pure stud player. He does everything so well. His play is sublime with his ability to make the right play at the right time.

He's also a guy who finishes every check and make sure he gives you a face wash if you get your stick up.

He's just a tough little ****er who's been our best player on more than a few nights.

haha Well thank you. I was just staying positive. Lucky for us, the flood gates opened. Can't blame you for being down though, that was a frustrating first 2 periods.
