Hard to say. He might be the second best winger on the market after Rantanen. If they trade him the Nucks season is done though. Miller and Boeser gone, Hughes and Pettersson injured, Demko not healthy. Kiss the season goodbye.

I’ve personally never been very high on Boeser. Maybe Rantanen is who Allvin has his eye on. They’d be in pretty decent shape if they could convince him to sign there, whether they end up coming to an agreement with Boeser, or fill his spot with whoever they trade Demko for.

DeBrusk-Petey-*Rantanen
Hoglander-Raty*-???
Joshua-Chytil-Garland
O’Connor-Blueger-Sherwood

Rantanen has made it known hes going to UFA. A contender will probably pick him up at 2.3mil from Carolina for a pretty penny. I could see the Canes trading for Boeser with the assets gained from Rantanen though.

I would be fine taking him back. We have the cap space and clearly need someone better than Hanley

If the tank is on, it really doesn’t matter who we play out of the personnel we already have, but if we’re indeed taking a run at it, we need a legit top-four talent to play with Weegs and Vali ain’t it, chief. That will likely be Zayne’s spot should he make the cut next season, but Poirier all day before Vali.

Bahl - Raz
Weegs - ???
Solo - Patches

I refuse to believe Valimaki wouldn't be an upgrade on the dumpster fire we have on the left. He's got to be better than one of Hanley, Bean or Miro.

A slight upgrade over Bean and Miro maybe, but not Hanley, and it won’t matter once Bahl is good to go again. I’d sooner roll with Hanley and Solo, and call up either Yan Kuzy or Poi before adding any more dead weight than we already have. If we’re going to add for a playoff run, there will be much better available at the deadline than Vali.

2025 Valimaki is like 2018 Phaneuf. Very wide turning radius and awful foot speed. I liked Juuso’s confidence when he got drafted. Then the injuries hit, and somehow the team fell in love with Connor Mackey

Might just be an organizational thing.
For the last three years, the motto for this club has really been 'you want to be here' and they've stuck to it. We don't know what Juuso was like behind the scenes or that if his departure was for more than performance reasons when it came to the club.

It's funny because Hanley and Bean are perfectly reasonable defenders, who could play 15 minutes a night and you wouldn't notice them in your 6 hole. The issue is this team is so devoid of depth and honestly, top end skill, that guys that should be coming in/out playing 15 minutes a night are propelled into much higher roles.

I must admit that I was guilty of the Mackey love lol great AHL’er whose success there just never seemed to carry over. 28 years old now and in the Rangers system.
