i wouldn't...if anything I would question why we are going for a player that is entitled as such as him. I know he's hella talented but I would want to kind of know everything about it before the raptors go for him IMO.

because hes amazing? top 5 at worst player in the league? If you dont wnat the top players in basketball you might as well stop watching cause you'll never see a championship without them.

I watch basketball enough now tbh, I am a Lakers fan(painful and joyous now?) and I also root for the Raptors. I am also thinking about how operations are run in this organization within MLSE. The character is very important and yes he's an incredible player no doubt, but that is something they are very very careful about that's all I'm saying.
 
There is some chit chatter about Kawhi to Raps. The Raptors have suddenly become the Vegas favorites to land him as well. I.N.T.E.R.E.S.T.I.N.G

i agree with you in most scenarios. problem is you cant really name a championship (other than maybe Detroit?) where there wasnt at least 1, if not 2 superstars on the team. Kawhi is a superstar.
 
That's how it is in most modern sports teams. What we usually think of as GM level decision-making now tends to happen with Presidents of <insert sport name here> Operations while the GM handles what's traditionally been Asst. GM jobs.
 
The Raptors are tied with the Spurs for the best odds as the team Kawhi plays for next season.
 
I would deal Lowry in a heartbeat for Leonard. We have Wright and FVF to man the point in Lowry's absence. We really have no one to replace DD. Shedding the salary of Lowry off the books for the following season would do the Raps some good. Possibly allow them to acquire the next wave of talent to build a contender.

How much does Leonard make?
 
I’m at the point with the NBA, where I literally don’t care what the Raps would give up for Kahwi.

Get him. Win the Eastern Conference Championship, and hope the Warrior’s suffer some injuries on the way.

We’d eventually lose, Kawhi would go to LA but winning the East Champiknship is pretty much the best any team from the East can do anyway

I agree on paper the Warriors or Rockets are a shoe in for another Championship out of the West.

But we cannot discount the effects a season has on the body and injuries can happen. Depth does come into play throughout the season. But I wouldn't discount the Celtics, Raps and Sixers. They have some depth and some good players. An injury here or there and any one of those teams can compete with the West.

DD, poetl & OG for Kawhi & a first.

Big price to pay if true. I don’t know enough about Kawhi (other then he would be our best player) but this seems like a lot to give up. Also, what’s up with DD instagram? He deleted all of his posts and put up a pretty cryptic story the other day.

The fact that raptors are getting a first is interesting. The spurs may be bad next year so maybe it's conditional on them making the playoffs/kawhi resigning?

The Spurs have the ability to take on an additional $12MM in cap.....while currently having -$13MM in cap space.....

Your friend sounds...nice.

That deal is a big overpay on the Raps part for one year of Kawhi.

Whats the big deal with this guy anyway. I don't know much about him but how does he stack up against others at his position. I know he is great defensively, and had one monster season. But other then that whats the big deal about him.
