At least the Bolts have clean uniforms now. The old ones were hideous. Never mind those jerseys with the lightning bolts along the arms. They looked like something a pre-schooler drew in art class.

Speaking of old jerseys, I stopped liking the Senators once the league / Reebok forced them to change their traditional home and away jerseys, and eliminate their black thirds. Such great designs. Now the angry centurion is just floating in front of a red background. Looks really weird.

I've been trying to think about this, and the only teams I REALLY hate are the Cowboys and the Washington NFL Franchise®, Man Ure, L*ton, and to a slightly lesser extent Real Madrid (team evil). I hate those first couple teams so much, it makes me hard to HATE NHL teams. So with that in mind:

As has been discussed and yes it's probably an age thing but it's still shocking to me that more peeps in here don't have more hate for the Islanders...it really is.

I have a strong hunch tho after tonight's game which IMO will be the most important and most intense game of the season for us, maybe some of the young pups in here who weren't around in the 80's when we got continually curb stomped by those f***ers from the Island every stinking year in the playoffs will change their tune.

Maybe some don't remember 2007 when Chris Simon took a baseball swing at Ryan Hollweg's neck will start to get some real good old fashioned hatred for them now that they are a good and a relevant team and will likely be a team we will need to deal with if we want to win a Cup or two in the next decade....we'll shalt see!

I remember this Brown/Sandstrom incident like it was yesterday. One of the more dirty hockey incidents of the 80’s.

Dave Brown was one tough mean hombre. I don’t think I ever saw him lose a fight and he was in plenty of them.

Funny but if anyone thinks the Bruins announcer Jack Edwards is a blatant homer, the Flyer announcer in this clip Gene Hart has a wing for himself in the “homer hall of fame”...he was ridiculous!
