Losing when you're up 2 goals against a last place team when you have the personnel the Rangers have is unacceptable.

Plenty of people seem to be able to accept it. It happens to plenty of good teams multiple times every season. There's a lot of hockey in an NHL season, at some points good teams get upset, good teams play bad games, bad teams come out on fire, etc.

It's either that, or how much Sather sucks.

I admit to being opposed to the Lundqvist contract.

There's nothing wrong with either of those thoughts IMO. Sather has been making questionable decisions for years and years and years, and Hank's contract very well may be a problem way down the road. What grinds my gears is that the board comes together to cry in unison every time a player goes flat, and then they all shut up once he's back on his game. It's like they've never ever seen a normal player play 82 games before. There are ups and downs.

Well the two games I've been to guys we lost, luckily I'm
Not going to be going again for a while... Win, win, right!?

Nash was a beast. Kreider played well. Team took a bad penalty at the end. We were outplayed for most of the first and were up. Would've loved to get a point tonight. Getting nothing sucks. We'll bounce back....

Jeez, that was terrible to watch. It'll be important to see if they come out flat against St. Louis, because then the vacation is over.

The team was as atrocious as always. they didn't get away this time. It's a game.

I'm sorry, that's complete ******** if you think that this is how the team has played even most of the season. Hell, they were awful to start the season, awful for like 3 weeks in December, but the rest of the season they looked a lot better than this. They were absolutely brutal and you're just looking for something extra to ***** and moan about if you think they're this atrocious all the time. The team gave you enough to complain about without making **** up.

Agree with the bolded. It was one of those games were I was really just waiting for the wheels to fall off. After we went up 3-1 I still didn't feel great. Oh well, can't win em all.

But we have no right to take games off when we're fighting for our playoff lives. St. Louis can take a game off. Anaheim can. We can't even win half the games that play well in. So taking games off when every point is crucial to the playoffs is unacceptable. I'm sorry the Islanders are better than their record but we didn't come to play today.

When you give 110% in every game, and it's not being appreciated, then maybe it's time to consider another team for the future.

I can understand if Zucc slows down his game, after being treated like that.

If Zucc deliberately chooses to stop playing well becasue he doesn't get minutes when he's not playing well, then I don't want him here. But that's not who Zuccarello is. Torterella tried to bury him in the AHL, so he worked his ass off is Russia to try again. AV scratched him, so he becomes a ppg player. He's not a baby, he can take some criticism.

What's with the poll? Have we forgotten Kreider's stupid ass penalty (AGAIN) that cost us the game? He shouldn't have jumped out like that. That's all on him going right for the puck knowing full well the players weren't off the ice. That's just stupid and irresponsible.

He's playing great hockey, but he cost us the game today with that penalty.

Kreider didn't cost us the game. If anything Kreider and Nash are the only reasons we were even in the game to begin with.

Yeah I agree. And he wasn't the only one to **** up. It's really getting tiring that the guy takes a bad penalty a game though. Hard to be mad at a young kid that had 3 points in a game where we scored 3 goals.

It was a bad play, but he also did most of the work in generating a goal, which is kind of a wash, and had three points. The team lost. Not one guy. They played lazy, many forwards back checked weak and played soft in their own end, leaving the D in crap position or with too much to deal with. In the end, the harder working team won. Even when the refs basically gift wrapped us a PP by only calling one guy in a net front scrum, which the refs almost never do. The Rangers played lazy and deserved to lose.

Kreider didn't cost us anything. If anything, he almost won us the game. As soon as Kreids stopped dominating every shift, Nash disappeared besides his cherry-picking goal. Those two, and Stepan defensively, were the only players bringing anything.

Can someone explain what about the Islanders make the Rangers forget how to play D? Please none of his "their D sucked all season". It sucked BADLY for a couple of stretches, but otherwise it's been good. Not as good as Torts who played a defensive system. Also last year we played a similar game where our D just forgot how to defend and we blew a 2 goal lead, though we got a point.

I can't disagree with any of that. I think it was an unfortunate loss that could have been a win, but they didn't play as well as they needed to. However, I don't think it's a sign that they aren't a good team or that players X, Y and Z suck now. It was a frustrating loss for sure, but that's all it was so far.

Are we seriously going to get on Nash after this game? I also love how the guy gets blamed for scoring a ****ing goal. 2 guys I think shouldn't be blamed for this game and it was the ones that are in the poll. Everyone else sucked.

My point with Kreider is, yes - he gave us the goals - but in the end it was his penalty that gave the Islanders the powerplay they scored on. That's undeniable. And it was a stupid penalty to take. He jumped off and touched the puck a second after going over the wall.

So it might be better to say that Kreiders penalty cost us the game - since it directly led to their goal.

Poo also had stupid ass penalties that put his line on Boyle TOI.

It's a sign that this team is much cockier than they deserve to be. They were 6 games over .500, they weren't the ****ing Ducks. The Pens took a game off against the Panthers. As pathetic it is to mail in a game at home, they're a pretty easy #1 seed in the east. The Rangers can EASILY miss the playoffs. It's pathetic. Seriously, I have a feeling the score might be different if Nash didn't score so easily. The team just thought their **** didn't stink after that. I'm amazed that they even managed to keep it close and almost win. They were awful in every aspect, except a PP that was still worse than usual, but decent.

This. I like reasonable people.

Without Kreider we lose the game because we score maybe 1 goal (I'm being lenient here). The atrocious defense put us in the position for this game to be tied. I was pissed too, and it's been like this all season, but the dude scored 3 points.

Crappy game to watch. Hope it was the guys taking a snow day and not the start of a return to sucksville. Nothing more to say about the game really.

But, if I never see another person write GOAT or WOAT again it will be WAY to soon. The most over used, unfunny trend I've ever seen. It's worn out its shelf life.
