Was Callahan playing tonight?

Was it just me that wasn't noticing him out there?

He played a physical game tonight, 7 hits recorded but was more than that, he also made a few nice passes but they could not cash in. Other than that, the line was not too good, neither was Zuccs line.

Nash line was good and bad tonight, which is why Steps and Kreids ended up with - ratings. Kreider went from a great game to taking a bad penalty, that later led to the islander GW goal.

Talbot laid an egg. It happens. Hes a backup. He seems to play better on the road. This loss isnt that big a deal. People are freaking out over a close game.

The Blues just got annihilated by the worst offense in the league. Guess they suck too and should trade everyone.

What the hell is AV doing to Zuccarello?

He used to pick up points in almost every game, tonight he played 12:17, only the guys on the 4th line played less :shakehead

Demoting a player who works so hard is just stupid, and it doesn't exactly help on Zucc's self confidence.

Seriously. Most posters here would have lit their NYR swag on fire and jumped off a bridge a decade ago if they were in the situation the Isles have been. Can't even take losing in a close game once after a great run without hitting the panic button.

Why bring up the Islanders. We were in that very same position the Islanders were.

If Cally has an offer on the table and he wants to stay- he better think about cutting his loses cause his game is slipping. AV is not as reliant on him as Torts was. Imho

7 hits tonight, his game is slipping? :shakehead

Rangers have played poorly against the Isles and Devils this year, two of their biggest rivals. They need to ramp up the intensity, tighten up defensively, and limit the mental lapses against these teams. They could lose both Stadium Series games if they keep underestimating the Isles and Devils.

Zucc, Cally, McD were LOL-worthy tonight. Kreider-Stepan-Nash was the only line that generated offense consistently, but even they made some mistakes and were prone to defensive lapses.

You take a pathetic stride, make a barely noticeable bump, and the league tallies that as a hit, so don't put too muck stock into that.

When was the last time Cally went RHYNO on somebody?

Oh my God - MSG is turning AV into Torts!!!

I though Talbot did pretty well tonight. Robbed a few goals. Could've been much worse if not for him.

I didn't think Callahan or Girardi was as bad as they're being made out to be. Didn't see anything Callahan did wrong and he was hitting everything. Girardi just had that one turnover.

People just can't wait to **** on Callahan on here.

He had a pretty big hit tonight and besides a couple of bad passes, had a decent enough game.

He wasn't great, no. Neither was anybody else on this team.

Nobody on this forum has commented on his great play over the past 3 weeks. Again, the sudden hatred of Callahan blows my mind.

Cally? No.

Girardi? ****ing deserves everything being lobbed his way.

Because he's been playing bad

They really dont care whether they win or lose. they love all of their players. we despise literally all of our players except McDonagh. anytime anyone on this team makes a mistake we ***** and moan to no end. the isles fans cheer for Kevin Poulin and Anders Nilson, we hate on Henrik Lundqvist when he lets in a goal that he could have stopped. They havent given up on Okposo, half this board wouldve traded kreider at the beginning of the year and stepan for scraps. John Moore and MDZ would be two of their best dmen, yet we complain about them nonstop.

This. Thank you.

The team loses and it's Cally's fault. lol.

Well he hasn't looked great the past couple of games, and the last time he really picked up his play was when he was made a healthy scratch. Zuccarello has had a chip on his shoulder throughout his professional career b/c of his size, he's not the type to take demotions the wrong way, I think he'll come out flying next game.

He was outplayed by Poulin. If Poulin didn't have a god tier end of the 2nd, first half and last minute of the third, the Rangers win this 5-4.

It happens. He was solid tonight.

Cally's line couldn't get that puck in deep. He and Hags would be working behind the net, and I swear I couldn't find Richards anywhere.

There was no play below the circles from them, and that's where they need to be.

What are you talking about? Did you even watch the game? None of the goals were his fault. The team in front of him, specifically the defense was ****ing atrocious. :shakehead

I'm not saying Cally was bad this game. I'm just pointing out this game shouldn't be a highlight of sorts because the guy is capable of much more.
