It’s a very good read by him. You can see that he goes all in for breaking up that pass, almost before the passer recognize himself what he is going to do with the puck.

It’s a FO play they have and he basically reads it real time.

It might look a little random, but that FO play that Nils reads is the classic “Bossy”.

Trouba lite? You are selling him short. He will be better defensively and be more physical. What type of offense he brings, not sure.

I expect Braden Schneider to be very good and in some ways like a Trouba. He’s big, physical, defensively inclined and a very good skater. He also will be an ELC which is a great thing but with any younger player coming into the NHL there’ll be a bit of a learning curve.

Jacob does get a lot of unnecessary crap. He’s usually going to be on the ice against opponent’s better players and gets a lot of PK time. He’s our best Physical D as well which is important especially against heavier teams.

Depending on what we do with our goalies and what Wall and Huska show the rest of the season, I would love to try to get Strauss Mann from Michigan. Dryden McKay is another kid with great skill. Both of these guys are small, but I feel like we have a good track record with smaller goalies (and a worse track record with large goalies).

Ty Pelton-Byce has an interesting combo of decent size and good skill. Jordan Kawaguchi from NoDak is a forward I'd like to take a flyer on. Small but really good skill and instincts.

There are other guys who could become free agents. If he doesn't sign with Nashville, Farrance is a guy a lot of teams will want.

For Wednesday, both games are on NESN, which is a Boston channel. If you have Fios in NYC, the games will be on standard definition only. It's channel 97. First game is 4:30, 2nd is at 7. Not sure which time slot has our guys.

How do you know Schneider will be better defensively?

I don't know. I expect he will based on his wingspan, physicality, skating and puck skills. He appears to be more fluid with his puck handling than Trouba and I am not a Trouba detractor. That's not a knock, I think he will be really good in his zone.
