The Canadians fans were pretty cool on the main board today. Just one guy complaining about the two early hooking and one psychopath that was INSISTING that Krieder injured Price intentionally. Then all the Penguins and Flyers fans came by to spread their sour grapes and agree agree with the guy. A few Boston fans that were being smug about their team being better than the rangers by saying "of if the lowly rangers can win this big, then why couldn't we?" Just passive aggressive B.S. But the Canadian fans on the board are pretty knowledgeable which makes we wonder what kind of nerve toxin they are introduced to when they enter the Bell Center. :)

Totally agree. 99 per cent of them seem very levelheaded and classy.

Just want to say sorry if you guys got the wrong impression by a few idiots suggesting we do harm to one of your players. Habs lost fair and square, some people get emotional but I'd rather they think before they speak.

Here's to a good game 2. For the love of god, please no 7-2 match lol

I have a hard time thinking of a team that is less likely to bash Kreider's head in. He is in absolute beast mode right now. Completely aware of his advantages out there and making the most of them.

Plus, you know, 6'3", 230 pounds...nobody is going to be bashing anything on him.

I loved how when Prust tried to goon it up with Kreider it was almost as though Chris didn't even feel it. He took a stick to the sack and a couple of whacks and he barely even reacted. The kid is a physical beast.

No way, you guys have been really cool. Honestly the only series I remember being bad were against the Caps & Senators.

Im watching Game 1 of the 1979 finals on MSG, I cant help but celebrate every time the Rangers score even though we all know how the series ended.

We don't suck anymore. We really, really don't suck anymore. For those that remember the Great Drought, it's quite a feeling.

I went over there as well and I disagree. A couple of them were a bit upset but got shot down by several others. Almost everyone in that PGT seemed very levelheaded IMO. Knowledgable fanbase.

If that happened to Hank these boards would go into complete meltdown mode and insults would fly all over the place after a 7-2 loss like that.

Most would probably be happy that the Era of Cam would start. :sarcasm:

Honestly, after all the **** both teams got about having no chance against anybody I'd rather people just enjoy the series. Whoever wins I want them to take it to the western conference winner and shut the myth of "Habs/Rangers will get crushed in the finals!!!"

Malkin did it and wasn't called. I don't think many complained...

Very true, the majority of your fans are as stated by other posters a knowledgable group and i apologize if i rustled any feathers in your PGT.

Here´s to a good series indeed.

I can well imagine that Kreider is not a fun guy to play against--he's big, stronger than hell, has very good hands and is extremely fast. He often plays very physical and there's an agitation thing to his game. Well--whatever. I mean Subban isn't fun to play against either. He agitates a lot and it's almost impossible to get the best of him in a physical encounter because he's a past master at turning off of hits or making those hits rebound on the hitter. Subban is a guy who gets in opponents heads--what's more he's hugely talented. If Kreider gets into their heads--that's their problem. Rangers were disciplined today. Montreal wasn't. That's why the score got run up. Montreal's a very good team. It's not their MO to play stupid. Next game I expect a lot better from them. Chasing Kreider around would be dumb--what they need to do is defend against him better.

I find it embarrassing enough that we have posters going on other boards to troll. When they come back here to tell us how awful the posters on that board are (and using the opinion of one or two bad apples as evidence to boot), I hang my head in shame.

Stay classy, boys.

Kreider could easily become one of the top 5 player in hockey. IMO, he's already the best forechecker in the game. Probably top 20 corner men. He's excellent defensively. He's just now realizing, he's bigger, stronger and faster than anybody he plays.

I mean, I think it's fine to go and read and laugh. But not to cause trouble.

Montreal's defense in this game got exposed. They need better gap control. The Rangers got in on Price a lot. Markov and Weaver are not young guys and Kreider was blowing by Emelin.

Hiya Rangers fans!

Sharks fan coming in peace!

First off, congratulations on making the Conference Finals and a Game One victory over the Habs!

As the Sharks fell off in a horrendous way in the 1st round, I turned my attention to other series'. And noticed that you guys were against the Pens that I hate. And yay! You guys beat them in great fashion.

And now you're headed against Canadiens, a team I also dislike! I also dislike the remaining teams in the West; Kings and Blackhawks! Notice the pattern? You guys keep facing teams I don't like! (Hopefully in the Finals too!)

I'm just coming here to say that I'm seriously hoping that the Rangers win the Cup this year, as the other 3 remaining teams can in my opinion just eff off.

(Sort of) hopping in the bandwagon, Go Rangers!

Can someone give me a summary? I had to miss the game due to my graduation =[

And is there somewhere I can watch the game since I don't have DVR....

Rangers dominated the first, won it 2-0. Habs with a huge push back in the 2nd, but only got one goal. Hank hanking. Rangers better at the 2nd half of the period and got two in the final minute. 3rd period was all Rangers. Habs needed 14 minutes to get a shot on goal.

So the Rangers completely dominated play and the habs came out flat. Was it defensive breakdowns that led to goals or just good set ups and such
