Kreider should keep ramming goalies. Take the penalty.

Lose the battle to win the war. If a goalie sees a 6'4 monster barreling towards him at full speed, he's going to be thinking more about seeing his wife and kids again than stopping the puck.

Did Kreider ramming Price have anything to do with the easy goal he scored later on?

Absolutely.

After seeing power forwards abuse Beezer and Richter for two decades, I am in full approval of Kreider obliterating goalies.

People have been ramming Henrik for years. Kreider or no Kreider, they'll still do it.

Kreider's developed a nice reputation around the league.

Prust: "It's not totally intentional, but he doesn't do anything to lighten it up a bit."

Here is what we know for sure: The back of Price’s right ankle was slammed into the goal post when Chris Kreider hammered him on a failed rush early in the second period. The New York Rangers forward was travelling at 36.2 kilometres per hour, according to Hockey Night in Canada, and the way Price grabbed at his right leg and knee as he twisted on the ice suggested that he was in considerable discomfort.

That's 22.494 mph. What does Prust want Kreider to do in that sequence traveling at that speed?

I can get Prust being upset, but think before you speak man. Jesus.
There's no way Chris could've changed his trajectory or whatever at that speed being a couple of feet away from the crease while being tripped.

I have to agree with GWOW.

Imagine if Kreider runs the goalie again while on a breakaway? The Habs would go nuts. They would ultimately try to retaliate, thus giving the Rangers more PP time. If the Habs make the series around getting reveng on Kreider, this series will be over quite quickly.

Habs need an emotional rallying point after that stomping. Pretty pathetic one though.

The irony of Prust saying Kreider should know how to fall is priceless.

After Emery giving us a run before Mason returned, I'm scared of Budaj

So Prust and Desharnais - the two biggest scrubs on that roster - are now spokespersons for the entire team.

Montreal is a circus. They celebrated in the streets like V-J day after a 2nd round win in 2010, then they got stomped by the Flyers in five games.

I'm convinced 1994 Cup was tougher than it should have been because of the media circus after 3-1.

Whatever. If the lose Game 2 and Price is hurt the entire Canadian media will say it's a tainted victory, even though they beat TB because of the same thing.

That's what I keep telling the Habs fans around here. If you're the Lightning how do you come out to play with Lindback playing like that?

Are there really people saying that was intentional? Don't let a guy get a breakaway and slash his legs when he's going full speed.. price's injury is entirely on your own team, habs fans.

What are you talking about? We have the King of Headhunters on our team

How could I forget? We have the bash brothers Staal (who wouldn't hurt a fly) and Kreider.

I honestly can't remember the last time I saw one of our guys do something and thought to myself "man, that was dirty". Maybe a few Dorsett hits, but that's it.

They made the Ottawa series all about revenge last year.

White, Prust, Gallagher, they all made it about retaliation. Sending a message. Therrien completely lost control of them.

The result was the Habs getting embarrassed.

If they want to believe what Kreider did was intentional, let them. It'll be a short, short series.
