The amazing thing is this team is going to get substantially faster when Miller, Skjei and Duclair make the team.

Why do I have this feeling the Canadiens will be looking to seriously injure the rest if the series?

Highly doubt it. Not Montreal's game, and they're generally more composed than that. This was a one-off, mostly Prust deal. He acted Bruins-like, which is unfortunate.

Canadiens players thinks that Chris Kreider fell on Carey Price on purpose. Rangers think he's injured. Habs are saying no. #tvasports

Obviously a win in and of itself is important, but the most important aspects of this win revolve around bolstering confidence in:

-The Rangers and Lundqvist's ability to perform well in Montreal
-Nash, St. Louis, and Stepan's ability to contribute/perform offensively
-the Powerplay

Rangers need to use this momentum to their advantage and build on it.... This is definitely a boost from a psychological perspective....

In MT's press conference he said it looked like an accident. Seems like media trying to start again.

The Canadians fans were pretty cool on the main board today. Just one guy complaining about the two early hooking and one psychopath that was INSISTING that Krieder injured Price intentionally. Then all the Penguins and Flyers fans came by to spread their sour grapes and agree agree with the guy. A few Boston fans that were being smug about their team being better than the rangers by saying "of if the lowly rangers can win this big, then why couldn't we?" Just passive aggressive B.S. But the Canadian fans on the board are pretty knowledgeable which makes we wonder what kind of nerve toxin they are introduced to when they enter the Bell Center. :)

On their board someone said that it was "two bad teams". No matter what we do I guess we'll suck.

We are like a big Family. The rangers Family! never forget that. This team make me proud. Its Perfect. We got good old Stepan With hairloss. And what about Nash. This tall handsome bear. And lets not forget Girardi. An underrated give it all defenseman. This team would be **** wihitput him. Wow love this team

Let them believe that.

Remember against Ottawa last year, they thought Eller took a headshot from Erik Gryba? The Habs spent the next 4 games trying to retribute Eller, they got their ***** kicked in the process and were ousted in 5 by a worse team.

Let's watch it happen again?

Put down the bottle. Get some sleep.

Prust is a joke player btw.

Prust contributed quite a bit at one point with the Rangers. He was a good penalty killer and a real threat to score shorthanded. I'm too lazy to look it up, but I think he had 4 shorties that season. He also stuck up for his mates.
Then, he turned into this guy who just fought. At one point he was out because of a hand injury, no doubt due to fighting. It was extremely boring seeing him drop his gloves at the drop of a hat to do yet again another fight. At that point, I basically tuned out of thinking Prust was valuable. When he asked for too much money (don't blame him for maxing that out) it was fine by me to see him go.

I doubt that'll happen again, think they know all too well that that type of play won't favour them. Their Sens-hate got the better of them in that series though for sure :) And it likely cost them that series imo, so here's hoping for a repeat (with no Ranger-injuries)!

Exactly, he's a shell of his former self.
