This was probably Hank's best start at the Bell Centre in years. His performance may get overlooked because of the blowout but he made some great saves in the 2nd that prevented Montreal from tying the game. Hopefully his struggles against Montreal are in the past and he continues to keep it up.

If Brassard can't play game 2, what should the lines be? Moore looked good and I think he should be moved up to the Poo-Zucc line.

Pouliot-Moore-Zuccarello
Hagelin-Richards-St. Louis
Kreider-Stepan-Nash
Boyle-Miller-Dorsett

3 PPGs ... Nash scores .... dominating Mtl in Mtl ... it's so surreal and still hasn't fully settled in yet. Have to give props to the Habs fans, they have been very classy and easy to interact with.

The optimistic part of me feels that the (risk of) overconfidence following a blowout win could be nicely counteracted by the Rangers' abysmal record when they're up in a series, resulting in an excellent mindset for game 2!

Of course I rarely listen to my optimistic side.

i could see it being carbomb in for brass and boyle centering the 4th.

Anyone have a link or video of kreider being interviewed by Kevin weekes after the game?

Weekes "I've youtubed you jumping out of the pool several times"

Kreider "Several times? That's pretty creepy, buddy"

Nah I'd keep Moore there but have Boyle center Dorsett & Carcillo/Fast.

Jesus the Habs fans are salty on the main board.
What a bunch of sore losers.
How do they even complain about the refs....

Great game.

Things got dicey in the 2nd, but Hank was there and Rangers slammed the door in the last minute of the period. Keep it goin.

lol, habs fans have been classy?

They been crying like little *****es.

I'm in like 5 different places, not just HFB, and even here I think they've been fine. Sure there's a few isolated ones, but I also see some of our guys whining over a too many men in a 7-2 win, which I personally didn't think was too many men or was way too close to call in an important playoff game. But mostly I am running into this:

As a habs fan that game hurt! Kudos to the Rangers for the pasting... I'm really hoping the boys can do better next game.... no excuses from this fan... the Rangers were the much better team today.

Complain about the refs?!? That's a bit rich. Their first goal shouldn't have even counted (too many men on the ice). Sure, there was a parade to the penalty box, but is the ref supposed to ignore an elbow to Girardi's head that's right in front of him, or lazy hooking penalties? Give me a break!

Can someone give me a summary? I had to miss the game due to my graduation =[

And is there somewhere I can watch the game since I don't have DVR....

You won't be able to see the whole game, but you can see a great highlight package at dtmts.com. (don't tell me the score.com)

His glove was alive and well.

You tell a HOF-bound goalie thats his weakness and, all of a sudden, thats not his weakness anymore. Thats how these things work.

Some people also cried about the rangers 'running up the score,' when their team is the one that look a bunch of classless penalties that resulted in those power plays.

Why SHOULDN'T the other team run up the score on you if you're going to try to bully their players? Don't want that to happen? Then don't slash for no reason.

The Habs fans are cool so far. I don't know what some people are seeing. The ones who post in here have been polite and have even paid us and our teams compliments.

The Rangers really reversed the 3 negative trends (can't score on price, can't win in Montreal, Hank can't win at the Bell) today before they became storylines in the series and possibly played on the Rangers state of mind. Normally I don't put a lot of stock in a game 1 but this one holds a little more importance because they were able to nip that crap in the bud with authority.

You guys need to not worry about the other fans. You think we don't have guys that are *******s? Come on. I spent years cleaning **** up on the main boards, I promise you we have posters that say just as much stupid stuff as any other team (other than maybe the Devils). Just don't worry about it. And definitely don't think that two or three guys are representative of an entire team's fan base.

Really? Brassgod got 7 votes for the 3 stars? Ummm....don't you mean trainer Jim Ramsay who rubbed his shoulder after his only shift??

I missed it. :(

Had a final exam and only caught the last 5 minutes on the penn station big screen.

Is MSG gonna have Rangers in 60 anymore??? My guide doesn't have one scheduled for tonight.
