I see a mediocre center group, some overrated floater wings, and a couple draft disappointments.

The Rangers actually need the refs not to put away the whistles. If this is a battle of power plays, I like the Rangers chances a lot more.I'm a Devils fan but totally acknowledge that this is really new for this team. They are winning for the first time in a long time.
Who knows how the younger Devils will react under the most intense pressure they've ever seen?
Young and inexperienced is sometimes a detriment but sometimes it's a huge benefit. Not knowing any better coupled with youthful exuberance can carry a team pretty far.
We'll see
But my thought is the Rangers just can't skate with the Devils. Watch the Devils, there aren't many teams that skate with them....New Jersey skated through Colorado the other night who was on a 6 game win streak and skated through everyone they met last year in the playoffs... Unless the refs put away the whistles I can't see the Rangers keeping up over 7 games.
Matteau can f*** right the f*** off. Than you very much. LOLNo matter how good Devils vs. Rangers is this year, I don't think it can top their 1994 series.
That might be the greatest playoff series in the history of the NHL.
That might be 2nd round. Rangers might start with Carolina.
69 scoring chances last night is fawking absurdHave to say watching the Devils lately, they have been impressive. Even last night against Vegas. They just ran into a great goalie performance. And still without Meier in the lineup.
As of yesterday practice lines had Hughes-Hischier-Bratt-Meier-Hamilton, might be a formidable PP1The Rangers actually need the refs not to put away the whistles. If this is a battle of power plays, I like the Rangers chances a lot more.
On paper, they just have the wrong types of players in the wrong places to have an elite PP in my opinion. Hughes and Bratt have nice shots but not your typical flank shots. Maybe having Meier down low will change that.As of yesterday practice lines had Hughes-Hischier-Bratt-Meier-Hamilton, might be a formidable PP1
Stacked with what?
Did you not see the snapshot of their lines to emphasise his point! Very professional snippit!Stacked with what?
I don't see them winning easily, but I do agree it's not an ideal matchup for the Rangers. The Rangers aren't the fastest group - I think the devils speed and forechecking will cause them problems.Devils win this series pretty easily, rags can’t match the speed/stamina of NJ. Bad match up for rags getting worse by the day.
