I can't see the Canes hanging on to the division lead.

Devils are definitely gunning for the division title.
agree. They are a great regular season team. But they don’t have that ‘killer’. When it gets tight and scoring difficult in the playoffs they don’t have that elite scoring talent to push them over the top on my opinion. And Waddell values picks more than winning the cup it seems.

What’s the NHL going to do? Kick Boston out of the playoffs?

Boston vs ny would be really good ratings wise for ecf but stil not as good as nyr/tor

for the conference finals the NhL wants (strictly money wise)
Nyr vs tor or bos
Colorado vs edm

Would bring the most money in and have great entertainment.

Then for finals

Nyr vs edm

Or

Tor vs col

Both those scrnarios have the biggest market team in their respecitve country and league. Superstar power, marketability and a team from each country.

Again, strictly from a money perspective this would be the best.

NJ needs to lose a round. Not quite ready…..

Signed,

hawks Fan
Yea agreed, if they don't lose they won't know how to win, so the only way they will be able to win is if they don't, so they can learn how.

I'll be pissed if they go the entire playoffs with out losing a round, then they will go into next year completely unprepared because they never learned to lose.

Well, guess you haven’t followed TDL to understand the yuck. I overestimated NJ fans sense of humor I guess. Enjoy your first round exit I hope……

First, no one can follow this TDL, second, that was my sense of humor. Should call you Pot Pirate.
Who you been talking to about my pothead tendencies?! Anyhow, Rags make it to ECF the 2nd turns into a 1st. So put some salve on that butthurt and enjoy your team.

Lol, we don't interact enough for you to realize how little I care about banter. The pot was not a joke about weed, it was a stretch I'd admit, but what if I called you Pot Pirate and me KettleShufle? Does that make more sense?

I think Canes are last 4 years 2nd round, 2nd round, 2nd round, 3rd round. They can win in the playoffs and there isn't many teams with better record. Obviously this year it's even harder to get to the 3rd round, but they do have the playoffs experience.

I’m picking up what you’re putting down. Still, I enjoy my medicinal.

That’s what I was saying the devils rangers is not at all the biggest rivalry in the league. We’re talking about these teams cause they’re both good but being honest the Rangers islanders are a bigger rivalry than the rangers devils from a rangers fan perspective. From a devils fan perspective it’s not.

Idk who did this but Kreider may be the best bet front PP guy in the entire league. Not having him on this hypothetical is insane. Tarasenko will be on the second unit.

I don't know a single Rangers fan who considers the Isles their bigger rival. It's either NJ or Philly

The Hurricanes have a really rough stretch coming up on their schedule.

There's a good chance the series for the ages is between them and the Rangers.

Devils skater group is substantially better both up front and on the backend. If Igor turns it back on then that changes things.

Based off watching both teams this year, I just don't see the Rangers being able to keep up the pace with the Devils even with the acquisitions. Shesterkin is going to have to be A+ the whole series. Going with the Devils pretty easily here.

When you get caved by 2023 Travis Hamonic, you can definitely be assured that prime Dougie Hamliton won't embarrass your team also

I love how everyone is acting like this is a foregone conclusion. Devils have a legit shot at 1st in the division.

This series could be Hischiers coming out party. He will likely be given the tough match up to shut down the Panarin-Trocheck-Kane line
