I’m a Devils fan amd totally agree. VV is not in the same league as Sheshterkin. VV has mostly played well this season but does not have close to the pedigree as Sheshterkin has.Goalies are not a wash. I don't care what the stats say, Shesterkin is very obviously better than Vanacek.
Massive? Not really. They could fall into a WC spotIt would take a massive collapse for the Rangers to fall into a WC place. Not happening.
NJ has zero experience in the PO. Rags in 4
Oh wow, 2 guys!! How could I ever forget. The main good pieces on this team have never sniffed a playoff game. NJ still has some growing pains to go through. Man people will say the most randon shit on here that is not based on facts and reaility. They have a 2 cup winner on line 3, people just say the most random shit about teams without watching the sport. And have a ton of veterans on the roster.

Rags in 4 and I hate the Rangers.
Nico and Bratt played in the playoffs in 2018, Dougie has plenty of experience, as does Timo. What are you talking about?Oh wow, 2 guys!! How could I ever forget. Agreed, and among the Eastern matchups Rangers/Devils is probably the biggest toss-up.It's actually insane how strong narratives and what have you done for me lately are. Do either one of these teams deserve to go down in round one? Most likely not. Anybody trying to predict how the East will go should lend everybody the lottery numbers too while they are at it.
Thank God the game is played on the ice, not on these sexy spreadsheets. Don't get me wrong, I respect what these math guys do with analytics but come on. You're telling me Miller and Goodrow are negative impact players? I'd love for these guys to build a hockey team so we can watch it get smoked out and for the analytical be all end all narrative to end.FWIW, Dom at The Athletic has the Devils as having a 64% chance of winning round 1 compared to the Rangers at 34%.
He also gives an advantage to NJ's 1st - 3rd lines and overall defensive group, though the Rangers have the obvious advantage in net.

Through the years, playoff experience typically wins the series. Devs absolutely have the ability to win this series, but they will not be easy wins, especially the deciding game. Rangers have that switch they can turn on with extra juice. Can the blueshirts find that game? It will be up to the Devs to find out. Let the games begin should be a good seriesOh wow, 2 guys!! As. Devils fan I need to stay out of this thread. Too many Devils fans are getting cocky saying we will in 5 games or whatever. The Rangers might be slumping right now but there is still like 20 games left in the season for Kane too mesh with his linemates. I really don't want to play the Rnagwrs because they could potentially burst our bubble and beat us in the 1st round. It could be a great series where I honestly think aby of the 2 teams could win it. Right now the hockey internet is hating on Kane , I inderstand why but let's not act like he is super washed up.
