Yup. It's a system issue. I mean not every player Colorado has is a rocket on the ice, yet they probably play the fastest and most dynamic transition game in the league. It's about the system, how the D and forwards work together. Now it does mean you need to have d-men that are good with the puck, but that's what our pipeline looks like doesn't it? Lundkvist, Jones, Schneider.Yep, which is infuriating because it's not so much the foot speed that's the problem, it's the way they play. You can play fast without having a team full of Hagelins.
The only time this Rangers team moves fast up the ice is when they have an odd-man rush. When try to start a controlled breakout, it's probably the slowest in the league. Should not be the case considering what top-end talent we have on offense.
