It's not. This is his 4th season playing and he's dogshit. He's an offensive blackhole and he's growing into literally nothing. Time to move on.
I couldn't disagree more strongly. For one reason only. If he does develop, does put on that man strength, then he could be a force to be reckoned with. He already has the speed, the puck skills and a decent shot. He just needs time to grow into his frame and gain the confidence you get from being hard to play against.

It's way different from Laf and Kakko's development because neither has his speed or agility. And that would be such a waste if we didn't thoroughly give him a chance to develop.

Again he is only 22. And being he made the NHL at a young age, should be even more of a feather in his cap, instead of a reason to give up on him.

He was instrumental on the game tying goal against the Leafs by keeping the puck in the zone. Where Strome hit Fox back door.

You could say that about any prospect, Chytil has done nothing in his 4 years with this organization to show that he's going to be anything more than a Czech league forward in year or two - he's made zero progress.

Talk about hot takes. How is yours any different?

We have been weak on the right side since opening day. No real insight there. Chytil played well there and will likely go back there tomorrow night. I hope, with Goodrow centering the 3rd line. We shall see.

We can forget this game in short order with two home games in 3 days with Shesty back in net.

Saying Chytil has played well at any point this year is a stretch, he’s useless without the puck. And not much better with it

I still am having trouble understanding why Dryden Hunt is still taking a roster spot ? He brings nothing. He was right there when Aho scored a goal in front of Georgiev and instead of legally laying Aho out and preventing the goal he tried to block Aho’s shot and missed. He’s not a adequate passer or scorer and he doesn’t hit enough or fight. Very baffling.

Had a nice run for a handful of games but he belongs on line 4. Very similar to McKegg

Look at Troy Terry on the Ducks. He didn't show anything his first 4 years either. Now he's a PPG player. Chytil had more points than him last year. Terry is 24. Chytil is 22. Doesn't matter how long he played, 22 is still young. Hell, I'm 65 and still have some growing up to do. LOL

I don’t think the concern revolves around “we should have drafted someone else,” as much as it does “why aren’t these clear cut top picks producing?”
When you see jack Hughes and how explosive/exciting he is on the offensive side of the puck, and then Kakko... it’s like wtf happened.
And most all of Hughes offensive is 5v5 so I don’t want to hear any but PP arguments etc.
Hughes with the puck on his stick looks electric, dynamic, and you think magic will happen every time he gets the puck.
Kakko is like the opposite

I don't care about Troy Terry I care about Chytil. Chytil had more points than him last year - great. This year Chytil doesn't look like an NHL player.

Guy scored a hattrick last game of the preseason. He has obviously been snake bitten this year. And been playing with not very productive linemates. Went on a 4 game point streak playing with Bread and Butter. If he returns to the 2nd line, he will produce. Unlike Kakko or Hunt or whoever.

I think there are no other logical reasons why Geo was playing expect if they were showcasing him so Edmonton can have a look how he plays against top teams.

Also the Canes SM team are so cringy.

First game for a while for me and I sacrificed my night's sleep only to get annoyed. I dont know but in my eyes Rangers 5 on 5 game is far away from leagues top.

Its not suprise we lose to the top teams when our posession metrics for every player is under 50%.

TOP4:
Kaapo Kakko: 49,9 CF%
Chris Kreider 48.9 CF%
Ryan Strome 48,4 CF%
Adam Fox 48 CF%

Our Shots/GP is 28, only Seattle and Arizona behind us.

Yeah, analytics doesnt tell whole story but they tell something. I just wonder where Rangers would be without Igor and our powerplay.

It's a very good thing to have accumulated so many points so early on because we have what? 10 games against the top 2 teams in the league right now in Carolina and Pittsburgh. With average goaltending, we'll be fighting for the WC spot by game 70. With good goaltending, we don't have to sweat it out. Either way, this game against Carolina and the upcoming games against them and Pittsburgh and the Caps or whoever will be a great way for the team to grow. They have to take something away from this game.

Watching the game felt like being head-butted in the ball sack by a dwarf, BUT in a sense I recon it was still a good “setting the narrative right” type of loss.

-We are all very fortunate that we can talk about our PREVIOUS management. Thank you Dolan. OMG.

-We need speed, speed and more speed. Forget all about some big name vet (Hertl included).

-How did Canes handle one of the biggest UFA losses in recent years? They had a top Norris Candidate Caliber D in Dougie Hamilton and lost him to UFA. OMG, end of franchise? They looked at the cost, at the cap hit, and DHs age — and decided to let him go for nothing. Then they replaced him. They took a swing at the beat two cheap RDs they could get a hold of, TDA and Bear, and TDA panned out.

This is how we should handle the Strome situation. The.math.does.not.add.up.

-Look, physicality is a part of hockey. The little we got going, we got due to physicality. This game hurts more for the Canes than us. It’s a part. Not the biggest part, like we saw tonight. But a part of it.

They don’t skate well enough as a team and still have several key players that won’t play this way even if they say that’s the plan.
Well that was easy enough...I skipped all the replies and picked here to start reading and BANG...the answer is right here in the first reply in black and white and 100% correct . Still some players that have to buy in or be shipped out to play the way Gallant looks for . Should be a fun trade deadline ....

That and some (more, lots more) "set" plays.
But Chytil has no IQ according to teh internets and it's over for him here smh. Let's play Gauthier yes.

Yeah, and especially — x10 — hockey is a team game. 4 lines, 3 D pairings. Everyone’s contribution in all areas matter.

You must have cap space and maneuverability to round out your team. You can’t just have 6-7 great players and hope to fill all other spots with junk.

How about this? Just don't bring up any defensemen on the Rangers board. I forbid it.

If you have anything to say about Adam Fox that isn't "thank you," I forbid it.

One thing goes right for this team in my entire f***ing life (that isn't a goaltender) I have to read about how he doesn't shoot hard enough or isn't tall enough.

As opposed to DeAngelo who's f***in 5'10" on a fire truck ladder.

f*** off, come back, and then f*** off again.
