Hearing the MSG broadcast without JD after so many years really sucked. I really hated it, and it took me awhile to appreciate Micheletti’s absolute awfulness.
It’s going to be even harder listening to whoever replaces Sam. Similar to our beloved John Amirante, Sam’s reached that age where he’s hanging on by a thread.
As a fanbase we’re spoiled to have two NY natives (I know Sam was born in Germany but he’s lived in NY his entire life) be the voice of our team. That beautiful toupees wearing, pizza eating, Hebrew worshiping saint can call our games as long as he wants to.
As a native NY’r yourself, who should know good food, so yes.
Kreider is just asserting his American Dominance over Kravtsov. I respect it.

Kreider was obviously just messing with him but Kravy might not of interpreted it that way. Kid ran out of a barber shop his first year in NY because he thought they were making fun of him.
It's a big nothing, just found it funny that they posted that with that caption. Like whoever did it didn't even realize what was going on in the clip.

I jinx players.
Kravtsov didn’t do anything special. He had a few defensive miscues that won’t be tolerated in the regular season. He needs to be more dynamic but in fairness to the kid, despite all the talk of how arrogant he is, he’s coming back after drama and trying to fit in, it’s a tough thing to do. He was okay, I expect his second game will be better

I some how found it but you can only see the beginning of it. Remember kreider speaks Russian so he is probably just trying to bond.

Chytil looks different in a good way, more assertive. His line played really well. Kravtsov looked fine to me.,
Jones looked pretty good, Miller has that next step in him, Hajek looked good.
Listing guys is weird when the entire team played well.
Edit: I see the absurd opinions are already in regular season form.

Thanks but can't really see. Put the kid with kreids and bread for a game or 2 n let's see what happens. If that doesn't get him up to speed.. oh boy, might have to leap him (let's see who gets that reference).

Hahaha no shot Othmann is making the team after those comments. It’s all good though, he’s talented but still seems a year away. Needs to get stronger
I thought Kravtsov played a sloppy game but showed brief glimpses of differentiating talent. I’d throw him in the lineup for at least 15-20 games and see what we have here.
I want to see all 3 of Kakko, Lafreniere, and Kravtsov with significant opportunities in the top 6.
Zac Jones needs to be on the third pair. I wouldn’t be surprised if he has an excellent year.
Rydahl was okay. He’s an NHL 4th liner and a solid cheap 13-15 forward for us.
Othmann is probably a year out but it’s good to see him all over the ice. I just don’t think there’s a spot for him. If he has a spectacular year, he can potentially help us in the playoffs.
The K’Andre Miller potential has always been sky high. The hype is warranted.

I’m going to list because I’m just curious if what I saw in person matched how it looked on tv.
Chytil looked better as the game was on. Not sure if it was cobwebs, but there were a few plays early on where he was trying to make the extra pass.
It’s just game one, but I thought Jones played great. Looks like he put on some muscle because he didn’t look as small as last year. Made some quick passes, and he and Schneider were great.
I suspect Hajek will get a look with Schneider, but Jones’ game was head and shoulders above Hajek’s tonight.
Garand played okay. Kind of shaky and looked like a lot of extra movement, but I think he’s coming along. I think he’ll need a good bit of time, though.
I liked the Rydahl signing and he looked good in that time tonight. Even the nice breakaway opportunity.
Othmann was my player of the game. Visible. Nice shot. Came back to make some plays on defense.
Bobby T could be a good agitator. Liked his game, too.
Kravtsov has the offensive ability. He just really needs to round out his game and make better reads.

I thought it was very strange to take him away from Panarin and Trocheck.
Obviously too many other positives tonight that should be the focus ahead of that though.

I was at the game tonight and thought Kakko, Vesey (lol), Chytil, and Jones were the standouts of the players with something to prove.
I felt Krav was kind of just there. I’ve consistently been unimpressed with him for about a year now and tonight didn’t do anything to sway that opinion.
K’Andre looked like a man amongst boys out there. The only way the other team can stop him when he’s moving is by accident.
