I won't complain about the scoreboard video from Providence anymore - this feed from Syracuse is brutal

Crunch in full control in the first. Bruins absolutely need to stay out of the box. IIRC, Syracuse hasn't lost a home playoff game yet

Crunch now up 3-0 early in the second. Crunch forwards getting inside position on the Bruins D and getting the job done.

Subban in is for MacIntyre!

Neither Bruins goalie will have a chance if Providence keeps coughing up the puck and gift wrapping chances.

Same story game 1, baby bruins need to cut right through the middle and stop the perimeter play

3-1 Crunch after two. Heinen from Simpson and Szwarz.

Subban with a great stand on a flurry right near the end of the second.

This is the second time this series they've pulled the goalie early and with no possession of the puck. 5-3 Syracuse. Not a good sign either when the refs are huddling for a minute to then call a non called penalty against the Bruins. Weird.

Now 5-4 with short handed goal with about a 45 seconds left. Syracuse is so suspect defensively.

annnnd we lose.

Heinen with two goals tonight now has 8g/9a in 15 playoff games as a rookie.

Where are all the geniuses that were calling for him to be a "throw in" as part of whatever deal they could come up with after his stint with Boston because he "didn't show anything" and was a bust?

Crickets...

Little early to say he's not Brandon Bocheski or Chris Bourque.

That said I really hope he has a productive career in Boston. We could really use some Bergerons/Marchand/Krecjis to come outta no where and become really good NHL quality players.

I am no hockey expert by any means, but the few times I saw him in providence I definitely haven't been impressed. I hope he proves me wrong but I am more excited about Debrusk in Boston next year than Heinen. I'd still be fine trading high on Heinen right now this summer

Boxscore indicates it was a bit of a wild third period. Do like that the B's did not fold when down 4-1. Still, a loss is a loss. Need to win 1 of the next 2 in Syracuse to get the series back on home ice.

Was MacIntyre pulled due to his play or more due to the team play? Looks from shot totals that Subban did his job when called upon.

That was me among others and I will stick by it until I see something from him in the NHL, right now he is an AHLer, nothing more.

Some players can never win with this fanbase. Non-physical, high hockey IQ forwards in particular. They want to be entertained, first and foremost.

This fanbase has never embraced Krejci the way it embraced Marchand, Lucic and Bergeron, despite the fact that he has arguably been our best forward over the last 10 years.

Predictably, fans will love DeBrusk and call for Heinen to be traded, even when he becomes a 60 point forward.

which is somewhat ironic as many of those same fans were more than a bit edgy at the DeBrusk pick yet really optimistic and excited to have Heinen when he signed on

You could say that about a lot of prospects that will turn out to be good NHL players

The issue I have with this place (not just with Heinen) is just the general impatience with a lot of young players. How many times do we have to see prospects progress at different rates to realize that every player is different and development is not always measured in a linear, orderly fashion??

Heinen has no points after 8 games? Bust! Trade him!

Senyshyn doesn't pass the fitness run? Bust! Trade him!

DeBrusk's scoring is down after his draft year? Bust! Trade him!

Marchand has one assist after 20 games? Bust! Trade him for Chris Drury!!

How long did it take Boychuk to become a good NHL player?
