You know, at least you learn something about Subban. I don't think he can handle the big moments. Time to move on.

I thought Subban played well yesterday. Second goal was a rebound after a terrific save. First goal might have been weak, short side from distance, but might have been a screen as well. Hard to tell based on feed angle. Stopped multiple breakaways and made a few tremendous saves on low action. Disappointing year overall for him though. Zane had a tough series but he was the main reason they had gotten to that point, might have been worn out. Love Heinen's release and shot but he has some work to do in cleaning up his game in his own zone. Debrusk will be a Bruin next year. Really like Cave's game as a potential bottom 6 guy. The veteran forwards on this team were exceptional, honest three zone players. Will be interesting to see if any stick around. They missed Cehlarik, Acciari and Kuraly a lot in this series, with 2 of those 3 they would have had a shot to win the Calder.

Hope Caveman gets an opportunity at some point. Good kid. Hard worker.

o'gara too. the injuries happened at bad times for this team - just not deep enough to hang. impressive season though.

Analytics answers the important questions. The eyeballs fill in the minutia. Another reason analytics kicks eyeballs but.

Smart scouting departments today identify targets through analytics and send their scouts out to fill in the blanks. You've got it backwards.

You scare me

We are going to have to agree to disagree on this one.

Don Sweeney, who I consider an intelligent GM, has added significantly to the B's scouting staff since he took over. I guess he should have just hired a bunch of 10 year olds with laptops?

And as far as your assertion that this isn't about "me being right", I find that disingenuous at best. You are claiming that analytics is the main piece of the pie and that live scouting is just filling in the minutiae. If that were true, it would mean that your opinions on players you have never seen play were more valid than guys like Dom or Kirk who spend hundreds of hours watching games. If analytics were only one tool scouts use to that help live scouting fill in the blanks, it would mean that your opinions on players you hadn't seen play would be lacking in substance.

Given that, I would say that this discussion is in large part about you being right.

Providence loses 4-1. Syracuse was a better team. We never had a lead except 2-1 the game we won. We backed up way too much yes there faster but come on, take a chance on Friday they had zone positions of minutes at a time.

Hindsight is 20/20

Subban should have started Friday, Mc was gassed or not fast enough for the wraparound and if it went to a player off him couldn't get a piece of it. Subban is just faster than him.

Cave and Czarnik were invisible all playoffs.

Never thought the team would make it this far, so happy for that.

I love Cave's work ethic, but I feel this is where his talent level maxes out.

Czarnik feels like a guy who really should have stepped up, and it never happened.

not that he was blowing the doors off previous to the concussion he got in Boston early in the year but it seems he never really found his game this year after that happened and he was returned to Providence?

Asking not necessarily making a definitive statement as I saw 2 PB games via stream this year

Stupid question I assure you but here it goes...
....I know he wasn`t eligible for it after he signed late in Boston but would JFK be eligible to be sent down to Providence if it`s clear he needs a bit more time to develop after camp?

Thx

Yes. He'll be under contract and waiver exempt next season. They could have sent him down now, he just couldn't play because of the date he signed.

Thanks

The minor league experience seems like an invaluable experience so if he starts there so be it

I saw him enough live the past 2 years to know when he gets the puck he can slow the game down and make correct decisions

That 1 game he played for Boston he probably felt like I did the first time my father took me on route 128 on a Sunday and I was driving with the big boys and scared ****less

He's a kid that processes well and needs to get used to pace and get stronger but when he does look out folks we got a player

My favorite prospect
