It definitely seems like we have three top 4 D and some experiments. Emberson would be a work in progress. He's worse than Ceci but could end up better

I get that pre-season isn't a huge thing and correct me if I'm wrong but aren't you guys usually at your worst early in the season record wise?

Even in games, you guys tend to start off poorly getting down early only to get bailed out by McDrai?

I think the oilers players are often guilty of slacking because of the two headed monster and I get that your best players should be your best and it usually works but when you look back at the playoffs it was the tale of two teams, it almost cost you in round two and definitely cost you the cup.

If that's the conclusion you drew from that playoff series, it's the wrong conclusion.

LOL. I posted just before the 3rd goal. They could have pulled him while on a high. I just don't get why you would start your #1 in a game with little to no support and allow him to get shelled in his first (I think) game.

Plus our team isn't 2 rosters deep. Our B and C teams don't compare to what other teams can muster. We have an awesome A squad with only a handful of extra players in the system that match up to what other orgs have

I know it’s only preseason but from experience I haven’t seen the Oilers able to just flip a switch and start to play better. Feels like they can’t come together until their backs are against the wall.

Hopefully Knoblauch and the team get it together over the last 4 games so they are ready to start the season.

I know it’s only preseason but from experience I haven’t seen the Oilers able to just flip a switch and start to play better. Feels like they can’t come together until their backs are against the wall.

Hopefully Knoblauch and the team get it together over the last 4 games so they are ready to start the season.

Our D got worse, we lost our three fastest players outside of McD, and we're going old and slow. I hope the gambles pay off, but damn do we lack pace where, even last year, we needed more of it (combined with skill).

Yup. He’s had a terrible showing so far. He was one guy I have been trying to pay attention to because he had so much positive press on this board. I just don’t see it at all. Back to the AHL with a lot of stuff to improve on if he hopes to have a big league career.

Mate we were dogshit for over 10 years. Of those 10 years, the Canucks were good for 8 of them and damn didn't you guys take every opportunity to drag us through the mud for all of those years.

So excuse us if we're not exactly over being treated like garbage for nearly a decade by Canucks fans like you.

It's not really a depend on McDavid and Leon thing. It's just the teams modus operandi.

They suffer from Rocky Balboa'itis. They rarely like once in a blue f***ing moon take the bull by the horns and front run. They're chasers.. always have been always will be.

Since 2017 the Oilers have played 13 playoff series. Of them only 1 series.. ONE series have they played and not been down at some point. That was round 1 vs L.A last year. Every other series in the McDavid era they been down at least 1 game at some point.

This team can't find their game until they've been punched in the face
