I'm as big a tanker as anyone. But, if you get this Zibanejad and Kreider moving forward, you are in a better place than you originally thought you were.

The thing is we took a big talent hit at the deadline but since those trades the team's overall effort has been a lot lot lot lot better. We got outclassed against Tampa and Winnipeg played us real tight but other than that this team has played extremely well considering that talent hit and our inexperienced defense. Pionk and Georgiev have both been great. Mouth was on here a few days ago with his idiotic remark that Pionk stinks--you have to wonder if he's ready to take that back already. Georgiev looks like a real deal goaltender. 21-22 years old and not only good but very composed. He looks like a future NHL starter to me.

I'm just pissed off now, this is ridiculous. It's very obvious why I brought him up. I literally laid this out. At this point I have to assume you're just ****ing with me.
Yeah that’s not how you make an argument. I’m just gonna assume you have no relevant points left to make since I’ve countered them all and chalk this up as a win for me. Thank you.

It`s just a small sample size with the Zib line in the last games, but we struggled majority of the season based on injuries and line shuffling. I`m not sure who will be here next season, but some guys don`t make it an easy job for Gorton, and the amount of picks in 2018/2019 we should move players for the future and try to hit with an elite talent who can produce 80 + pts.

Hayes line have 3 passers on it - AV need to shuffle the lines again when Chytil and Lias is called up.

Zibanejad has missed 9 games this year and has 22 goals with 11 games left. That's roughly 30 goals over a full season. He's 24. There is still growth there. When he has Kreider next to him, he looks dominant. Kevin Hayes took a step forward. Buchnevich, in spite of his limited ice time, has hit 40 points. You added Namestnikov and Spooner who both have fit in well. You've got Chytil, Andersson and Howden on the way. I'm not that concerned about the forwards. They've got two late firsts which I hope they use on some boom type of forwards.

It's the defense, especially on the right side that's the issue. Maybe Gorton can move up and get a Boqvist, or at least a Bouchard. Of maybe they take a chance on Bode Wilde, great skill and size, RH, and headed to Michigan which should help him tighten up his game.

I know a top pick would help but it is not the end of the world if we don't get that top pick. It is my belief that this thing can be turned around fairly quickly. Gorton did a great job at the deadline getting picks, prospects, and NHL players like Spooner and Namestnikov. All does not hinge on whether we get a top 5 pick.

Rangers aren’t turning anything around quickly picking in the middle to the back of the first round of the draft, which is exactly what they’ve been doing since the 04-05 lockout.

Yea no shit my last post is not how I make an agument. Probably because I wasn't making an argument with my last post since I had made it previously...which I literally just said in my last post. Bingo. You totally made bingo by now. You filled like 4 full columns. This is pretty obviously you just trying to troll.

Why you'd pretend to be dumb to troll someone is beyond me but you do you

Uh huh. This post also filled with a ton of salient points.

Honestly what do you think it would cost this team in terms of assets to get EK this offseason?
If we take back Bobby Ryan with him, maybe not as much as we think?

What was Vegas' rumored deal with Ottawa for just EK? I believe Friedman reported it was:

-2 first rounders
-prospect
-conditional pick probably depending on if he re-signs

That was apparently the deal without taking Ryan back and when Dorion tried to force Ryan on them it fell apart. So maybe if you take Ryan with him you turn the second first turn into a 2nd? Maybe a 1st and a 2nd, good prospect and a conditional pick. Maybe send them one of the more mid range prospects+Vesey instead of a top prospect? Maybe one of these kids playing now could be included after being showcased like Gilmour or TDA?

1st, 2nd, Vesey + TDA and a conditional 1st if EK re-signs?

I might be crazy BUT ... one thing this team does have is some good pieces. We are dysfunctional at times and quite honestly overall a pretty bad hockey team, but if you can somehow land Svechnikov in the draft, maybe get a good PMD late in the first round, then this rebuild is a whole lot different and they are probably competitive in a year.

If they can get a top 3 selection this year via the lottery and Karlsson as a UFA in 2019 we goin' sizzler.
