I know we're not supposed to be winning games but still taking this away from the Pens was a lot of fun. Kreider and Zibanejad were awesome. Pionk and Georgiev too.

I'm as big a tanker as anyone. But, if you get this Zibanejad and Kreider moving forward, you are in a better place than you originally thought you were.

its as easy as this if people wanna tank next year trade kreider. If instead you wanna see some exciting hockey, make look mika actually look close to a number one center and be in race to make playoffs then you keep him. That simple. No one coming back the other way is gonna bring what he brings to this team

Yea can't wait to trade the entire farm we just started building for one year of him
Rangers would never trade for him. But adding him in the next FA if he's available is enough of a black swan thing, maybe they haven't written it off yet

If that's their plan A (I don't think it is) they can't do any more dead money + asset deals this offseason (taking Beleskey to get Spooner, etc), which is a pretty big opportunity cost imo

Who gives him **** other than K27?

If anything he gets the least amount of **** on the team.
if he does get the least amount of shit its because he deserves the least amount of shit.
I hear it quite often how he has no skill.

Pitt and Dallas really screwed up not going HARD to convince NYR front office to try and convince Hank to waive. It would have been a win, win for everyone involved.

I guess the 3 first rounders they have+ prospects they received at trade deadline + Chytil and Andersson + cap space couldn't possibly begin to turn things around.

I agree... if they can't turn it around they have no one but themselves to blame. No we won't get Dahlin, Svech or Zadina, but if they did their scouting there will still be elite talent available where they pick. And possibly even later in the first

It’s not stupid at all, it’s the truth. Cherapanov is completely irrelevant to this argument. Being mediocre does nothing to help the rangers build this team.

-You dishonestly moved the goal posts
-The team has apparently been the same since 94 meaning that the teams in '98, '12 and '14 are "the same" as the teams from 00-04.
-You don't understand how a top player dying is important to a discussion started when you complained about the NYR not getting a top player. (This one in particular is laughably inane)
- Having a team that made it to the ECF twice and SCF once is apparently mediocre.

Jesus. Are we playing "Worst possible hockey opinion" bingo?

Fast is everything people said Callahan was
I thought Callahan was perfect for that Rangers team, until he was hitting that magic intersection of salary inflation coupled with decreased output. He did leave it all on the ice for season after season, but NYR made the absolute right choice when Cally left.

Was ok with Pionk tonight.

His only significant sample size in the NHL is with Marc Staal, so I'm willing to be patient with him.

He definitely has skill. Would like to see him use it more and fall back on board chips a little less, but look who his coach is...

and a boatload of cash. and if its this offseason say goodbye to many many young players.

Or not. Ottawa needs to deal him at the draft otherwise they will lose him for free. He will be traded for scraps to the team EK decided to resign with.

Ok, go tell the players on the ice to go purposefully lose games. I'm sure they will take well to that

Remember... there are still thousands of fans showing up to watch these guys. They're just doing their jobs
