I think that Hughes being able to trade both Toffoli and Petry, who had term on their deals without retaining salary is a positive.

The Habs created $6.375M in cap space just by shipping out Toffoli, Petry, and Poehling.

That is key here. Guess its why we haven't moved Hoffman or Armia. Probably no market without any retain

I mean Petry was pouting like a 10 year olds while Wideman had 100sec of PP every pps. Wideman makes 2 points every 10 turnovers. Sounds good for Bedard.

Wideman had 40 minutes more of PP time, you're right. But Petry had over 400 minutes more of ES time.

As far as turnovers... Petry averaged 4.26 per 60 giveaways a game last year. Only Clague averaged more. Wideman was still very high at 3.59.
