Stillman gets knocked off the puck too easily. The guy can skate well and hit hard but is missing something. I really question the conditioning of some of the players to be honest.. Being outskated by Kitchener the first half of the game was embarrassing. I agree with an earlier comment that you have to sit guys who aren;t performing and play Lefebvre, McCue, Page. Coaching needs to take charge of this mess.

no they didnt. He took a penalty at 14:57 of second. They killed that off, Knights didnt score again till mid third. Very bitter person from your posts. Its just a game man.

If the Petes came into tonight's game with a 4-3 record in their last 7 games (instead of 1-6) then I think most would be happy with the Petes' effort tonight.....disappointed with the loss, but OK with the way they played.

Anytime the opposing goalie gets the 1st star of the game it usually means that your team had significant pressure, some great chances and likely outshot the other team. These things are going to happen, it's just hard that it's happening at this point, when the Petes are desperate for a W.

The good tonight ....
- Stillman was a beast, led the Petes with 6 shots, scored both goals and was physical without taking a penalty
- Avon was effective on the forecheck, creating turnovers and chances, also had 6 shots, just couldn't convert
- Panwar has been the most consistent Pete during this rough stretch IMO, using his speed and playing with grit
- The PK killed all four PP chances the Knights had
- Donovan McCoy was a +1

The not so good tonight.......
- Zanetti and Smith were both - 3......need this D pair to be better

Oke obviously needs to strengthen up the D through trades between now and the deadline.
The Petes are pot committed at this point; I'm just not sure the players that will be available, the prices of those players and the picks/players Oke has to trade will result in the 2 Dmen and 1 forward the Petes will need to win an East Championship.
The Petes will also need the "OHL goalie of the week/month" Michael Simpson to show up in the playoffs too.

Hoping for more puck luck in Sarnia on Sunday afternoon.

It’s just funny to me that Kingston went all in last year and now are ahead of the Petes whereas the Petes claim to be going for a championship and are a middle of the pack team yet again. Also hamilton who went all in is sitting 3 points behind. Did oke really think this defence was gonna hold up? It should have been addressed in the off-season or early season and the first move should have been letting Spearing go.

Agree...I think they thought def would be better. Either your a shut down def or offensive side team. They are neither right now.

Stillman must of read the Petes board on how disappointed you all are with him. He surely showed up this weekend. Now if he can play that way all the time would really benefit the Petes's in their quest to win a league championship. Be interesting to see if Wright and Hache join the Petes after the WJC.

Just noticed the Petes lead the entire league in penalty minutes. Not saying that’s why they haven’t been winning much lately but it’s something that needs to be addressed going forward wether it’s sitting guys out or benching guys during a game to send a message. Players need to be held accountable for taking stupid penalties and that starts with Wilson

You first need to know if they are selfish penalties or if they are lazy penalties. If they are lazy penalties, it is because they are lagging behind the play and letting guys get to the dirty areas too easily. If they are selfish penalties then that is a culture problem. Your leadership group should be resolving those.

Your leadership group is just as accountable as your coaching staff. The coaching staff is there to lay the groundwork for development and put a system in place the at best takes advantage of your teams skill set.

Your leadership group should be your policemen. If some guys are dragging ass or being clowns then that needs to be addressed in the room.

If he is not, there still should be a leadership group. It shouldn’t fall on one person that is in and out of the lineup to police the team.

It should pretty much follow the same timeline as the Akil Thomas trade

Good deal for North Bay. Used up their last 2 2nds, a 3rd and some conditional picks so I would say they are pretty well done on the trade market for the most part. Could still potentially tinker with some depth pieces

If they are at Hockey Canada camp or just announced to the team they are already in a no trade position until team Canada has been eliminated from the tourney.
