IMO Savard will not be dealt at deadline if this team is in da mix… will simply be viewed as a deadline acquisition.
I really hope this won’t be the case. A rebuilding team should get as much as possible for players that won’t be with the team in 2-3 years, like Savard and Matheson, while giving ice time to your future core.
Savard struggled playing 2nd pairing minutes.

Well, knowing this market, Slaf better put up some points soon or half the internet will be flooded with hot takes and 'Slaf is a bust' commentary.... which will help his confidence no doubt.

Agreed. I’d trade Savard as well. But it must be at least a decent 2nd low first. He’s acting as a bridge right now and we don’t have much on the right side as it is.

Another Michkov goal. Almost ppg at 19 and would be our second leading scorer right now (higher ppg than Caufield). Reinbacher will need to be at least a top pairing guy for that pick to not be absolutely terrible.

Michkov has nothing to do with it. To pick a d top 5 you should be expecting him to be a top line defenseman . And if he isn't it's bad pick unless it is due to injuries.

He's definitely taking the Calder home. Quite an impressive rookie season. What's more impressive is he's even good defensively at 5 vs 5 with 17 minutes of average ice time per game.

Definitely looks like a complete player to me.

I think its a 2 horse race between him and Celebrini. Hutson might have a chance if he start scoring a little more.

There is no way to know. If he is a cockroach and disruptive we won't know unless Torts broadcasts it.
Its a bit annoying seeing you being the biggest groupie on here. Like boss man Huguhes and his crew cant make a mistake. They all do mistakes. No one is perfect. Not picking Michkov is a f***in lost if you are a true fan. Hell be a superstar offensively. We are enjoying our asses off Laine, and Michkov will produce more than him. On the other hand, Reinbacher has been injured for two years and has lost 2 preciouis years. And if erverythibg goes well, hell never have the same impact has a +1.0ppg player.

We have no idea why they chose Reinbacher over Michkov. One reason could be that didn't need more small players . Also it is far harder to find a RD with Reinbacher's potential than, for example, an 80 pt winger. Habs could miss out on Cups because they don't have any good right defenseman. This is the NHL, not a keeper league.

You think they could make an even bigger mistake? What could that be?
Do you understand team building. Look at the Jets. years of going nowhere because Maurice let that ahole Wheeler (a 90 pt player) run the team (into the ground). Michkov is apparently playing a 2 way game now. He didn't in Russia. We don't even know if he would have signed with the Habs. He may have played out his contract in Russsia if he wasn't drafted by the right team.

Hutson won't be in the race at -12 and lower, it'll show up like a wart in the middle of the face at the end of season.

They dno't care about +/-. They only look at points for defenseman, They might care more about goals by d though.
