Braun seems like a player to hold onto?
I would absolutely prefer to hold onto him. Watson too. But we have an all time great in his prime, if the right deal comes along anyone is expendable to the cause. We have to squeeze multiple championships out of our time with Jokic because we'll probably never have another player as good as he is.

The only reason I would say Gordon is possibly untouchable is because of his versatility. He's a defensive stopper, a great guy playing off ball in a Joker offense, and he's been the only competent replacement for the Jokic bench minutes so far.

So ideally who is Braun getting us. If it was to come up?

I don't have anybody in mind. Like I said, I would prefer not to trade him. But if he were to be traded it would likely be in a package deal with a larger salary to return a hypothetical star. Braun is one of the few guys we have that is clearly worth more than his current contract so if we do get something decent coming back in a trade he's a likely candidate for other teams to want included.

Yuck. Do not want Russ.
Me either. I can’t believe talks are actually ongoing about this.

I feel like signing Westbrook is just gonna torpedo this squad’s locker room, which is one of their strongest assets. If he was a starter that was gonna dump in 20 a night, then yeah I’d take a gamble. But this dude is gonna be riding a lot of pine. And he’s a god awful shooter. I don’t see the benefit. Two years ago he was practically out of the league.

Nuggets signed Dario Saric.

Still need to find another point guard and shooting guard, and hopefully dump Zeke Nnaji's albatross contract and re-sign Vlatko Cancar.

Nuggets have re-signed Vlatko Cancar.

Now they're overloaded with big guys. Need to trade Nnaji and/or Tyson for a guard immediately.

PG: Jamal Murray, Jalen Pickett, (Trey Alexander)
SG: Christian Braun, Julian Strawther
SF: Michael Porter Jr, Peyton Watson, Hunter Tyson
PF: Aaron Gordon, Daron Holmes, Vlatko Cancar, Zeke Nnaji, (PJ Hall)
C: Nikola Jokic, Dario Saric, DeAndre Jordan

Current roster status:
14/15 full time spots
2/3 two-way spots

We need to either trade Tyson for a guard or trade Nnaji for a guard and move Vlatko to the SF. Then sign another guard.

No matter what, we need a point guard in between Murray and Pickett on the depth chart and we need another shooting guard behind Strawther.

So what's this I keep hearing about Jamal Murray's conditioning?
The Nuggets get pissed about players slacking on conditioning. The Avs don't care if players stay up banging sex slaves and doing coke all night before playoff games.

Nobody ever accused Sakic of being classy though, just silent.

You act like this doesn't elevate the heartrate and keep your cardiovascular system at its peak.
Yea, if anything that's great for conditioning. If you've ever had an all-nighter full of debauchery you know there's a lot of cardio and mental fortitude required to keep that pace going. If anything, the Avs are already pushing that cardio front based on that.

And doing a David Caradine is a good way to simulate training at thin air.

I have a fun trivia question for everyone here.

Where do the NY Jets rank all time in AFC East division titles?
My favorite trivia question: Name the only MLB player who leads his franchise all-time in all four types of hits -- the most home runs, triples, doubles and singles.

Robin Yount once held the same distinction with the Brewers but lost it when Ryan Braun surpassed him in home runs.

Nope.

Edit: I wrote "nope" because that wasn't the answer given when I heard this question. But I just looked it up and Brett actually IS a valid answer to the question, so I am embarrassed to say that I got a bad read on this one. So kudos to henchman.

The answer I was expecting was Stan The Man.
