I haven't looked at schedules, but I wouldn't necessarily look at who is playing "easy" opponents, I'd look at who is playing teams that give up a lot of goals. There are teams that are tough to beat because they score a lot, but also give up a lot. There are also other teams that struggle to win, but do an ok job keeping the puck out of their net.

As you might expect - bottom feeders give up the most goals.
Bottom 8 teams in standings are all in the the bottom ~9 of teams with most goals against (only Pittsburgh is better).

So - I think my point still stands, lots of potential for Kucherov and McDavid to acumulate points against easier teams, moreso than MacKinnon.

I glanced at Kucherov's game logs. Hadn't noticed how quiet he's been as of late. In the last five games he's posted an identical stat line of exactly one assist per game. Also, only one shot on goal in each of his last two games. Any idea why? None of the games were back-to-backs. Will he bring it against the Rangers tonight?

I think he’ll come up huge tonight after a handful of days off. I’ll be surprised if he exited today’s scoring race with less than 110.

In the last six seasons, Colorado has had 1,511 powerplay opportunities.
Second is Florida with 1,425
Nobody else is over 1,400.

Colorado's net penalties is +176 over that time. Next closest is 116. Only 3 teams are over 100.

It's not a conspiracy when people say that the Avalanche sure seem to get a lot of benefit of the doubt on the penalty side of things.
Benefit of outclassing many teams with speed and skill as a team.

That is some serious embellishment by MacKinnon but it's the league's fault for calling so many weak penalties. Still though, after all these years of watching sports I still naively get surprised during games when I see players purposely embellish to try and cheat to win. Of course it is stupid of me to think that way but you would think they would take more pride in trying to win fair and square. It's not something I would do I guess, I would rather lose then cheat but I guess if the league allows it, it's not really cheating.

Seems like he's been setting guys up at his normal pace but nobody has been burying them. Same thing in their last game where Tampa scored 7 (and Darren Raddysh had 5 assists) but somehow they get handcuffed when Kuch gives them a pass. In fairness, Kuch hasn't been burying his chances either. The way it goes sometimes.

The league encourages it. If you don't sell an injury from an illegal check to the head, it's the same punishment as a legal stick check that gets sold as a hook

Literally stick hooks on player's hand causing player to lose control of the puck in a fast fast game. They call it everytime.

Amazing how it almost take take his feet out from under him though....from a dead standstill.

And I am not disputing the actual stick in the hands.....it is the everything else there.

We are talking skill....it would seem imbellishment is an acquired skill as well.

In the last 2 years they're 7th in net penalties.

Once they lost their 2nd and 3rd best penalty drawing players (Tyson Jost, yes you read that right lol, and Nazem Kadri), they haven't been close to as lopsided as your claims.

They also under perform on the PP as well, take a look at Nate's PP scoring vs McDavid or Kucherov, a larger chunk of his points are coming 5on5.

Canucks and Oilers fanbases are by far the most insecure group of fans I've ever encountered. It's so easy to troll Canucks fans around Makar. His existence is a constant troll for them.

What fanbase is known for the biggest assholes? Not implying anything.....just curious. I mean.....since we are labelling it is good to know the who's who.

Thats how we know you watch the Av's (besides flair). That gets called for your team everytime. Other teams not so much. Its a very soft hook. McDavid very rarely draws that type of hook.
Nathan "special treatment" MacKinnon vs Connor "very rarely gets calls" McDavid . There's Oiler's fan's imagination then there's reality:

But don't let statistics ruin your narrative.
