That OT goal was off of Nichushkin's face so that probably turns into an assist. Still a big night to pull the Avs back from down 3-0.

Just saw. Easily.

Wait, so powerplay points don't count now that it's not McDavid scoring them? Or did you also think McDavid was 'gifted' 71 of them last year as well.

I think you know perfectly well that it was a tongue in cheek comment made due to people trying to diminish a 153 point campaign by McDavid.

Big game by McDavid but he still only manages to make up a single point on Big Mac.

I think the refs gave the Avs a free 5 on 3... that is what I am saying.

I don't keep up to date with all of the individual arguments posters are having with each others and it didn't really sound like an off the cuff comment, but if so fair enough.

MacKinnon gifted his points tonight by the zebras

He wasn't doing much until he blatantly embellished a hooking call which gave them a 5 on 3. Then Canucks gift Avs a powerplay with 7 seconds left on an unforced clear over the glass.

*Canucks player commits brutal mistake which automatically results in a penalty with basically 0 grey area to give avs a PP right before OT*

"The refs gave him his pts!!!!"

Seeing Canucks and Oilers fans constantly whine about obvious penalties will never not be funny to me.

Come on now, don't be a shameless homer. That was Oscar-worthy from Mac.

Looks like a clear penalty to me. Stick in the hands gets called almost automatically.

Question: is it normal to stumble and almost fall from a hockey stick hovering near your glove?

After around 6 years of having the best penalty differential in the NHL Avs fans are never allowed to complain about officiating again.

They think the world owes them powerplays at this point. 🤣🤣
So you're implying the league is intentionally giving the Avs more Powerplay because.....??

With McDavid being the leader in penalties drawn you'd imagine an Oilers fan would know if you play fast and possess the puck a lot, you're bound to draw more penalties then you take but I guess not.

Atlanta, GA

It’s kinda weak but if you put your stick on the hands of one of the league’s superstars, there’s a decent chance you’re getting called for something.

It’s like complaining about roughing the passer in the NFL. We know how the refs are going to call it so better to err on the side of caution rather than complain about what will obviously result.
