Everyone can fight, everyone can play soccer and basketball. To compare a tiny rich man's sport athlete to people like, mohammad Ali, mike tyson, Messi. Maradona is shameful. More people play soccer than it lives people in Russia, Canada, Sweden, finland, combined. Hockey players are compared to people who drive a porche suv and have a summer house they spend half their year in some fortunate countries finically.

Don't even care. Oil have been like the #3 defensive team the last 2 months. Leon and Connor are not going guns a blazes when you watch the games. Kuch has won enough too, but good on him if he runs away with it

Point totals/gap will change. The point I was making is that this isn't a thread dedicated to Kuch vs McDavid.
 
Feels like this has turned into a bit of a 2 horse race right now. I'd never count McDavid out, but he's been quiet lately while his team keeps churning out low scoring wins.

Kucherov three more pts last night.

I thought it may have been Jack Huges year the way he came outta the gate. 20 pts in first 10 games. But appears the kid can't stay healthy.

Mackinnon and McDavid will make the race interesting in second half.

Yup, I share the same sentiment, history always finds a way to repeat itself.

Same thing was said with Howe and Orr until 99 and 66 came.

All of Gretzky's records will be demolished and broken eventually by the next sports defining talent.

Everyone in Canada can play hockey...

Also not many people "fight". Fighting is quite niche too. I agree with the premise that some sports are more competitive than others but it's not so clear cut.

And everyone in my household can play table tennis but I am more dominant over my wife than gretzky was over his peers, does that make me a legendary athlete?

It was pretty interesting listening to MacKinnon talk about Kucherov on 32 thoughts.
He said he’s one of his favorite players to watch, in fact a bunch of players he talks to say that Kuch is their favorite player in the league to watch which I found a bit surprising. Mack also said Kucherov basically plays the polar opposite of him, which makes him want to watch him even more so he could pick stuff up.

Would really recommend listening to it.

“I think Sid. I watch a lot of Pittsburgh games. I watch Brayden Schenn as well. Just two good friends of mine. Tyson Barrie in Nashville, and then I love watching Kucherov. I think everyone does. If you asked everybody’s favorite player in the NHL, I think they’d say Kucherov. I think everyone is a big fan of his. Obviously McDavid is McDavid. I like watching Pastrnak, he’s a right handed shot guy. Big fan of the game.”
