McDavid at 57

I feel realistically Kucherov McKinnon are the most likely though I will not count out McDavid

I still think McDavid can win it although Kucherov and MacKinnon are having great seasons. As an Oilers fan I really don't care that much, McDavid has already won 5 Art Ross trophies. the excitement on cheering for a guy to win that trophy has kind of run it's course at this point. I am sure McDavid would like to win it but he seems way more excited when the Oilers win and hardly seems to celebrate his own goals these days. I think the most excited I have seen him this season was when Derek Ryan scored a shootout goal. Should be a good battle to the end though especially as he makes up the games in hand. Still a lot of season left.

Well if he took a cheap shot to the head or a slap shot to the head he would be out lol. BTW your so hung up on this 4 game in hand while being 13 back. Crosby was 3 back with 5 less games and actually led the league in ppg at 27m keep that in mind
Kucherov >>> Benn

Keep that in mind.

Problem is, MacKinnon's team from top to bottom this season is arguably weaker than McDavid's.

What is keeping Colorado atop the standings is MacKinnon, Nichushkin, Makar, and Rantanen.

Just because the Oilers started out horrifically doesn't mean the Oilers are so much worse of a hockey team - as evidenced by their last ~20 games.

Top to bottom
Huh goaltending good sir!

Uhm and I can dominate some random chick at soccer more than Messi dominates his professional peers. What is your point?
The point is that gretzky had as much competition as me in correlation to what Messi have to his peers.

McDavid is still in it because of the games in hand (Edmonton have 4 on Tampa and 5 on Colorado), but he have slowed down lately. 5 one point games in a row isnt enough. Then he had 10 points on the 5 games before that so with a streak like that on the games in hand he would be quite close to Kucherov and MacKinnon.

3 more assists for Kucherov tonight so far.

Since starting the season with 11 points in his first 10 games, he has racked up 64 points in his last 34 games (1.882 PPG).

For reference, McDavid had 83 points through 45 team games (1.844 PPG) last season. He finished with 70 in his final 37 games (1.892 PPG).

Can Kucherov keep up his torrid pace for another 37 games to cross 140 points?

Considering his career high is 128, an extra 10% doesn't seem crazy.

Ia Kucherov's 140 pt season(if he hits) better/more impreasive than Mcdavids 153 pt year?

Mcdavid had help with ~130 pt, ~100 pt and ~80 pt forwards

Kucherov would have only 2 ~ 80 pt forwards and a ~80 pt d-man

He is going to win it.

McDavid and Drai have learned that points aren't everything. Playing like 2 way beasts

10 straight games at 2 goals or less

Not a fan of Kucherov but that's surely a fair point. Maybe.

If he's able to outscore his next closest teammate by 60pts absolutely.

Not a fan of Kucherov but that's surely a fair point. Maybe.
I was thinking so to personally

But will see how things play

If Mackinnon finishes with 135 vs Kuch at 140 it becomes a bit different

Mcdavid still had a 25 pt gap on Drai/Mack

Here Mack and Kucherov are basically even.

Regardless Kucherov is having a season better than his 2019 campagin somehow

No 153 is more than 140 but 13 points. If Matthews scores 70 this year is it less impressive than Stamkos’ 60 since Stamkos had less help?

It won’t be more impressive because he still won’t outscore McDavid this season. McDavid has way better second half’s than Kucherov and he still has like 5 games in hand.

I hope it’s a race between Kuch and Mack so Oiler fans can watch Avs and Tampa fans rip into each other finally.
