"no noticeable limp" is interesting even though it has been ~4 months since it was reported that he couldn't stand or put weight on it. who knows? good for him though as the picture painted before was one of him lying in bed with his leg up in the air.

Yeah, I made sure to check. That being said, he was walking slowly in a boarding line pushing a stroller, so not the most strenuous activity...

Someone needs to do something about this Liz Frank chick, whoever she is. She's been f***ing with a bunch of hockey, football and basketball players the past couple years.

She must be stopped.

Well this is interesting:

JR on offseason priorities: "I’m really looking more at my situation & who makes those hockey decisions going forward"

Sounds like the end is coming for JR. If not this offseason, then soon.

@ice_chip: Canes' Jim Rutherford expected to give up GM duties at season's end.

This sounds a little more definitive though it's exactly what I and just about everyone else expected.

Wonder how I missed this from before, but didn't see it in this thread or the Checker's thread (although there was a post about Boychuk getting into a fight). I guess it could be in the Checker's thread also, but thought it was bigger news:

Boychuk's stat line for that game:
2G, 3A, 9PIM
3 - CHA Boychuk, 8:33 - Goaltender interference, 2 min (PP)
3 - CHA Boychuk, 8:33 - Unsportsmanlike conduct, 2 min
3 - CHA Boychuk, 8:33 - Fighting, 5 min

Wait, Boychuck got into a fight? Was it a real fight, or just some slapping late in the game when the refs were sick of it?

It sounds much more impressive on the scoresheet. He basically turtled after running into the goalie , but Lowe and Sutter jumped in to his defense right away which we wouldn't see with the Canes.

They gave Boychuck a penalty for fighting on that play? Were the refs high?

That was my thought also, By that point it appears they already had 4 prior fights in the 3rd period so were probably trying (unsuccessfully) to control things.

That's a horrible call by the ref anyway. Boychuk had every right to skate in his lane that far from the crease, and the goaltender leaped out in front of him to jab at the puck. That's nothing more than incidental contact, and it's far enough from the crease that there's really not an excuse for getting it wrong.

But even given a differing opinion on that penalty, how in the world does Brace not get an instigator for grabbing Boychuk and just punching him right in the head? It's ludicrous that the Wild came out of that sequence with a power play.
