I don't think he's drinking on the job but something is definitely off. He's 65, I think his age has caught up to him.

I think Edwards is an excellent announcer. He knows the opposing players and their numbers and has a professional voice and knows the game. He is a generational homer, but whatever.

I’m not one to get offended. I’m a pretty self deprecating dude. I was born and lived in a place that gets made fun of regularly, and then moved to a place that gets much of the same. You learn to laugh and not take things too serious, honestly. That’s why I have more fun than people.

I'm sorry, but being visibly fat as a professional athlete is always going to get you talked about, and there's nothing unfair about that.

This is not in the same category as body-shaming random people who are just going about their lives. This is more like making fun of a referee who wears glasses. Is it juvenile, yes. Is it fully understandable and socially harmless? Yes.
