Rich coming from this joke of a franchise, lol. Hilarious how a twitter account set out a video making fun of Bruins fans and employing a racist shit bag is suddenly donating $100.

Curious about the racist comment, as well as the video.
The video is completely nothing. After a playoff series the hurricanes Twitter account made a video of tweets bruins fans sent to them talking shit throughout the series. Tony D’Angelo is a scum bag tho so there’s grounds there.

The video wasn’t a big deal if they didn’t post the usernames of the people who were tweeting. A platform like the Canes tweeting that out caused many of the people on those tweets to get a ton of hate, and none of the tweets they used were overly malicious or anything.

this guy is the absolute worst to have to hear call a game...like a 12 year old watching his favorite team. can't stand him.

however, we cannot let pink hair twitter get this guy canceled because they jump on a quote and make a big deal about fat shaming. guy was trying to crack a joke, move on.

IMO the the content itself wasn't that bad if you have the right tone and inflexion so it doesn't come across as sardonic or abrasive. It's a skill. For a few seconds.

A 10 second 'haha' would be forgivable- but what was unprofessional to me was he was going ON and ON about it not even calling that play. At that point, he comes across as spiteful, mocking, sneering and it would rub anyone the wrong way. He's using his occupation as a platform to not even call the game and land immature, lame fat jokes that's a topic very sensitive to so many. He's obnoxious lost touch with reality, unless he was just drunk and won't be again- he should do society a favor and retire.

Does it make it right?

It’s no different than if he had made light of Maroon’s shot or his skating. These things, including his physical conditioning, are his literal profession in the public eye and open to mockery.

I mean this is markedly less serious than making fun of Ryan Getzlaf’s baldness, or Gerbe’s shortness. If we can’t do that stuff, what are we doing here? It’s supposed to be entertainment.

People are posting on twitter to the Canes.... It's like standing in the middle of town square screaming and being shocked when people hear you.... they @ the canes....

They got a "ton of hate" on Twitter..... where they threw hate publicly at someone else... the Canes didn't dox the people.....log out..

Didn't this start by you saying this Jack thing wasn't a big deal and are now trying to explain why this is?

Sure. It happens literally everywhere, though. Like I said, show the tweet, blur the names or something and it wouldn’t be so bad. Fans were having some fun, bantering back and forth, and the canes used their half a million followers to shame people on twitter. It literally happens all the time towards every team, and I can’t say I’ve ever seen a team respond this way. It was just weird and brought a ton of hate for those guys.

I just find the canes twitter super petty and cringeworthy.

When you employ a racist like they did, it doesn’t really hold that much value.

During that game he also said something about the Sergachev/Drouin trade and the Habs... I forgot the exact words but it was along the lines of
"Thank God the Habs traded away Sergachev" and it confused the f*** outta me, like does this jackass not know that Tampa also is in the Bruins division? Or is Montreal just that cemented in his head?

Missed this clip though, I dont really think its a huge deal. But I'm all for watching old Jacky boy get shit on by other media.

There really is no reason to blur it, they said it publicly out loud to them, they wanted to be seen, or else they would be on private and not @ the Canes. They got seen. How many of those people would have requoted their own tweet and @ the Canes again if there was a different result?? I'd say most of them.

I’m a bruins fan and can’t stand him. Just the past three years alone hes

1) had this maroon thing
2) went on a long rant about forcefully pinning his sister down.
3) as Roman Polak was getting stretchered off the ice laying unconscious he called polaks injury bad hockey karma

There’s a dozen of other mishaps that have made news. I know my fellow bruins fans will shrug it off and defend the shield that is the bruins. However it’s just such a tiring act. He never calls the actual games and just embarrasses the organization.

He should be let go for an accumulation of these types on controversies. Sure he shouldn’t be fired for just this, but idk how many strikes someone can get before they are out.
