I am by no means a Jack Edwards fan, but if this actually offends you then you are soft as baby poo
Why does everything have to go to being offended or not offended by things? Why is that your immediate spectrum? This take is so lazy.

How's about the fact that this lacks any and all forms of professionalism? People work their asses off and have a legitimate amount of talent, yet there are hacks like Jack Edwards crowding top positions. That's what's the matter here. Not the level of "snowflake" or how "soft" someone is.

Yikes.

If people were more intelligent, your comment would be acclaimed....the far greater danger we are facing is dangerous snowflake generation we have raised and those same people that want to throw people into the Camps for the great crime of freedom of thought and expression......and that stupidity has sadly flowed into our Hockey and indeed all of sports.....
Is this message generated with some kind of 4chan alt-right genetor?

Don't watch the Bruins much, but did he call the game at all? Like even outside this clip, or is he there kinda doing his own podcast? I think it's time to take out old yeller

Not going to read the thread, if you're offended by that you're a big baby. The guy is a physical freak of nature do you really think a fat joke is going to hurt his feelings. Try not to be more offended than the joke target my god.

Why do people always default to offended or not? One get a feeling you forgot to call people woke and snowflakes as well. Why can't something just be completely uneccessary, unprofessional, and just bad taste? I'm in no way offended by what Jack Edwards did, but I still don't think it's the right place for that kind of.. whatever it was.

Of all the things Jack Edwards has said, this is the one you make a thread for?

Yes, Jack Edward's the worst commentator in hockey but this isn't that bad at all for him.

This barely even qualifies for fat shaming. I mean, he even says "3 stanley cups so who can argue with his formula?".

I'd say actively wishing players to get injured is far worse but I guess nowadays we need to get offended for stuff like this while cheering for violence.

Jackass Edwards.

IDK, doesn't seem like something to get too offended by.
I'm more bothered by how Edwards can't seem to get two words strung together without a pause in between.

Still say he holds a grudge because he was always the last one chosen during his elementary school recess pick-up games. LOL

I haven't missed watching a Bruins game in fifteen years, not one..I know Jack Edwards well.
So you probably love his minute long rant about forcefully pinning his sister to the ground last year. Or the year before where roman polak was getting stretchered off the ice unconscious and edwards laughed at him calling it bad hockey karma.

Jack edwards is a bad announcer, it’s a truth everyone knows. He’s getting worse at calling the games and is guaranteed to have some weird incoherent rant or comment that blues between bizarre and uncomfortable at least once every twelve games. But the faux outrage by the hockey world on behalf of maroon is laughable. They’ve made countless fat kessel jokes about hot dogs and what not. Maroon comes out and says essentially, if you care that much about this And how it affects people than put up or shut up. I wonder if Seravelli or Dreger have turned their outrage into a donation?

The fact the hurricanes used that as an opportunity to be Uber petty and donate $$.19 is very on brand for the team run by 12 year olds (the signing bonus on their offer sheet comes to mind). For people who don’t know the significance, they let Hamilton wear a number (19) that was retired by the whalers and edwards went on a rant about it when they were outright wearing whalers jerseys. so they decided not to carry over the retired numbers, which who cares, it’s silly to count a past franchise/city as your own if you move. That being said, it rubbed people in CT who grew up watching that franchise the wrong way, of which edwards is one of them, the fact that they were making money off the likeness of the team they “stole” is also salt in the wound.

Sounded like nothing but Pat Maroon is a big boy jokes and he ends it with appreciation for his Cups. Complete nothing burger. Outrage culture these days is the bigger controversy.
I completely dislike Edwards, but these comments are benign. He wasn’t calling him fat at all.

He pinned his sister to the ground last year? That must've been a spectacle at his age. :sarcasm:

40 seconds of play, no description of anything happening on the ice.
So many are guilty that now . Pang and are two that come to mind. Debrusk pretty bad.
Jack is a clown, but I like his side kick. (name escapes me)

It's a shame for Jack Edwards that he's not a troll or an guy who likes to get people upset.

He's a geek, we Bruins fans worry about his speech irregularities this year and hope his health is ok, he's a hockey and Bruins fanatic, and yes he sometimes goes WAY over the top. Love him or not though, he is not a nasty guy who wants to get people riled up. Quite the contrary.

Still, he has got a LOT of you really upset and, seemingly, generally miserable.

Why some of you come across so angry about a guy you (unless you are a local Bruins fan) probably listen to just a few times a year. Life is short -- getting so worked up about a television announcer is bad for your health -- and probably an indication that you get worked up hard about a shit load of other things in life as well. Some of your hearts are going to explode -- you're pumping blood to fast and too hard.

I absolutely loved the Big Rig during his time as an Oiler, he was actually one of the better non-Draisaitl linemates McDavid has had. They meshed well together and he opened up a lot of ice for him, he put up 27 goals on McDavids wing.

Maroon’s response was just perfect as well. He’s such a likeable guy, easily one of the most likeable players in the NHL.

The interview he had when the Oilers were playing the Blues where he was taking about not seeing his son as much (who was in the audience for that one) pulls at the heart strings.

Are people really that shocked? The guy is a trash and caters to trash.

Guy might be losing his marbles as well...

Absolutely hilarious coming from a fan of a Florida team. Needed that laugh this morning.
