Don’t get the outrage by the media types like Frank S and Darren Dreger. Networks make fun of “fat” guys all the time, lol. TSN openly makes jokes on how “fat” Jeff O’Neil is.

Absolutely.

They probably threw some shade at Byfuglien over the years as well, I'm sure there are countless examples on-air of the same light-hearted jabs over some guy's weight.

Is this message generated with some kind of 4chan alt-right genetor?
That’s right, someone says something you don’t like or agree with, you and people like you ,immediately label them a conspiracy theorist and try to marginalize because you lack the intelligence and moral fortitude to argue a topic based on merit.

You were probably labelled a conspiracy theorist because you sound like one.

I assume someone posted it already but just in case. This has to be a troll by Maroon, no?

How do they know it was a $2,000 donation? All the tweet said was “a 2,000 donation”. Could be 2,000 hot dogs or cheeseburgers for all we know.

So I’m guessing no more Phil Kessel hot dog jokes then right?
I don't think this is a big deal (more unprofessional than anything), but surely you can see the difference between people on the internet making jokes about Phil liking hot dogs and a commentator calling a player fat on live television.

Come on now, it wasn't just "people on the internet", and you know it.

Both Kessel and Maroon have been dragged for their body image - some light-heartedly, others more maliciously, for sure.

I've seen him called Fat Maroon countless times, both affectionately and as an insult. At 238 pounds, that's a big boy. Edwards being a professional broadcaster should probably not be making fat jokes on air, but that this is somehow affecting a 238lb man's mental health is an overreaction to say the least.

When Byfuglien was over 300 lbs in the offseason, did anyone stop to think they might be hurting the big millionaire cup winners fee fees before cracking jokes? Probably not, because the dude was pretty damn big wasn't he. And don't be joking about Kessel's love affair with hot dogs either if you want to be on team woke.

The funny thing to me is that Jack Edwards is the play by play guy but ignores play to banter around for a good 40 seconds. Why do the Bruins even pay a guy to be color commentator? Edwards provides all the color that anyone could ever use and more.

I am by no means a Jack Edwards fan, but if this actually offends you then you are soft as baby poo

I don't really care for the comments nor am I offended by them, but it is embarrassing and it's just piss poor quality broadcasting, why do people always feel like there's a diehard need to defend that clown. The guy is a f***ing moron lol

I had to check and see if that post was made by a human and not a swarm of bees because it contained a ton of buzzwords.

I just think there is irony in that this is a site that calls Marchand a rat and makes fun of his nose, calls Matthews 'nostrils', and generally trashes players along these lines but are also thinking someone playfully doing the same is abhorrent.

To me all that says is you think it's ok behind a keyboard but not saying it where people know who you are which is cowardly. And to top it off, after what was clearly playfully taunting him, he then compliments him and his success in his career.

Just people looking to feel superior to others is all this outrage is.

The comments are "funny" but only in the proper context and situation.

Locker room talk as a player and Maroon is your teammate, hilarious.

As a broadcaster for the opposing team with no established relationship with Maroon, cringy AF, and inappropriate.

To be the fair the people that insult physical appearances of players online are likely the same people that found what Edwards said funny.

Which context gets me that sweet, sweet ad revenue?
